I nailed a buck with a double lung broadside shot using a Trophy Ridge sidewinder. It went 130 yds before dropping and tracking it was very tough. By the time I got there someone else had found it and dragged it to the road without field dressing it.  I'm switching to Rage as well. That trail is insane.

nice blood trail, I am glad that I am not the only person who hunts for meat not horns! I will shoot the first deer that walks by in range and share the meat with friends and family.

i have no problem shooting small deer if i have an empty tag and its late season-they are very tender and good eating. the main thing i stress is taking good,clean,ethical shots. I shoot muzzys but my friend swears by the rage two blades..says you cant believe the damage they do.

@ISNiPeBaRnY If your gonna shoot a doe it's better for deer herd health to shoot a fawn. Fawn mortality rate is much lower in older deer then in younger deer. The fawn is much more likely to die during the winter then a larger doe and besides fawns taste better. People really to be educated about the dynamics of a deer herd before making stupid post.

@cincinatireds- I've killed 2 small does and I'm not really proud of them. I'm my saying that I only kill huge bucks as a matter of fact, I've never killed a buck. I'm 16 an this is only my second year hunting and even I pass on button bucks.

Well numnuts, I sat in a tree from the middle of September until December 28, in that time we pass up dozens of shots at does, fawns and bucks. We had a open tag left so we decided to take a anterless deer the 3rd to last day of season to enjoy some good venison. We bought the license and had every right to shoot a buck or doe. If you want to shoot nothing but Pope and Young bucks that is your right. I think you have been watching the Outdoor channel to much, get into the real world sonny boy!

I've had a doe release pools of blood after I hit her high, she only ran for 40 yds before expiring. I couldn't bevieve the blood on the ground but even more amazing was that the chest cavity was full of blood also. Rage is my choice.
