  • what song in the background!

  • I hate how everyone other than the English can speak a second language perfectly

  • @slaggamuffin Maybe because English is one of the easiest language (but actualy it depends on your mothertongue).

Moreover, it's very easy to pactise English in everyday's life. I'm French and I hear English all the time : on TV, on radio, on YouTube.

And because English is the most widespread language, many children learn it at school.

  • If Lang Lang asked me to study under him ... "YES!" no hesitation

  • @rachg01 ??

  • Lang Lang represents everything wrong with the Chinese, in single person.

He's piano playing is a joke. He's also a very annoying man.

  • He definitely meant 430 million people, in Chinese 4 "yi" means 400 million and and 4 billion is 40 "yi", so for Chinese speaker, it is very easy to mix up billion with "yi" , im pretty sure he meant 430 million

  • @ctrlsoul no, i'm pretty sure it was 4.6 billion. why? i really do believe one out of 2 people watch opening ceremonies at the olympics

  • @ctrlsoul 4.5 billion sounds right. definitely not 430 mil, there is 1.3 bil chinese alone.

  • lol they skipped the part where he walked out of the interview

  • I'm looking for someone to play some inventions I wrote....any takers? if so email me at jameskoenig11@gmail

  • ONLY CHINESE CAN DO, can you guys?

  • @Jxoxoo what you on about??? we composed the music he plays and richter, horowitz, hamelin, volodos are better than him

  • "4.5 BILLION PEOPLE WATCHING ALL OVER THE WORLD." he obviously has faint perception of reality

  • @ibclappin i am pretty sure he ment 4.5 million people ...

english isnt his native language you know so give the guys some credit for being able to speak multiple languages

  • @Xbox360DeathRow 4.5 million people watching? nope he's still way off

  • @ibclappin No he not he only got one letter wrong u FOOL, the numerical value is irrelevant

  • @sxchighflyer what? ok, 4.5 (M)illion is still way way off, get it?... and he calls me a fool

  • @i124x like i said, this is a chinese musician page, feel free to respond to the pm if you'd like to continue.

  • @i124x are you serious? first, i'm an atheist, second, qur'an has stated numerous times regarding aisha's age, their prophet's most beloved wife, aged 6 when the marriage took place, and aged 9 when she moved in with him. put those two numbers together she'd still be 15, not that it even matters.

plus no body point fingers at anyone about religious intolerance, because no one serious gives a shit about that, it's 2010, planes are flying and we've landed on the moon, wake up.

  • @aaron4820 "qur'an has stated numerous times regarding aisha's age" Actually, the quoraan has nothing of Aisha's age. Not one verse :D

You might be referring to the "hadeeth" which is basically word of mouth that's been recorded.

Plus, muslims don't treat muhammad as a god. We know he was human & made mistakes. If he had bought into the historic tradition of marrying minors, then it's very sad and certainly revolting. But this is not how we judge religion.

  • Why do people point fingers at China about human rights almost immediately...? I mean seriously, the Americans are building a mosque next to ground zero, the religion of wife-beating, the religion of child-marriage, the religion of cover-my-wife-is-an-object-that-belongs-to-me, the religion of our-prophet-married-a-nine-year-old, i mean... really? China? At least women over there are allowed to do what ever they want.

  • @aaron4820 Hate to point out your tragic ignorance but marriage in Islam should be agreed upon by both sides (this is what's actually written). If one party's parents intervene and force the marriage onto the girl/boy, then you're dealing with a societal problem rather than a religious one.

Moreover, marriage can only be consummated when both parties are "fit" for it. And again, the age limit is set by the country. Religion never gave one.

  • you really don't get it do you? "should be agreed upon by both sides (both parents)", does that mean it's okay? it's now fair because both sides' parents have said yes? In any modern society, marriage to up to the individual, not their parents, jesus I pity you.

  • @aaron4820 hmm..someone's comprehension skills are pretty weak. I specifically wrote that the parents' intervention IS the problem. By both sides, i mean both partners (as in the man/woman who are getting married).

    "jesus, i pity you" XD

  • @th3wing3dpaint3r read your comment again and you will see that you did not specify anything, and 'fit' is a more appropriate term for seeing whether you should give away your child instead of choosing your life partner. but I'm not going to sit here and word pick with you, it's childish. there is no room for debate really when it comes to this, can you really say with a straight face that their culture is not influenced by their religion? aisha was 9 when she moved in.

  • @aaron4820 I thought that saying "If one party's parents intervene and force the marriage onto the girl/boy, then you're dealing with a societal problem" was enough to give the impression that i was against the parents making the decisions on behalf of their sons/daughters.

"aisha was 9 when she moved in" That is actually unconfirmed. Some said the marriage had not been consummated at that age. Some have theoretical proof that she must have at least been a teenager. Ergo, it's basically a rumor

  • What song does he play???

     it sounds nice!

  • I think lip sycing is a joke. I hate it with a passion. If people admit they are doing it because they want to achieve perfection say at a one off huge event. I mean if they admit it and say they recorded it and it is them on recording, its not to bad. If you go to a live concert and pay money for it. and they are not live. its fraud

  • What happened?

  • and why is that?

  • @totalannihilator99 He is not.

And you are just a typical Belgian one :)

  • @raymondxiwei yeah but his interpretation of Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto was balls terrible

  • @mypalsatan um... i don't recall there's a criteria for pianists to interpret music pieces.....i'll say a pianist is terrible when he or she makes noobish mistakes

  • haha lekker dan

  • mnogo je ružan.

  • @JediChopin: "Drop it it's over" would you say this to a family member who lost family in these tragedies?

Rather than avoiding the inconvenience or discomfort of the choices bad leaders make, how about learning meaningful coping skills to these atrocities without competition or judgment of self or against others?!

Compassion is the path; the reality of truly CARING FOR the well being of self and others.

  • @JediChopin Look at Bush? Are you fucking stupid? George Bush freed an entire country from a dictator and gave more aid to Africa than any other President in history. Pull your head out of your ass and get some facts. Change your name too, you're not worthy of the Chopin name.

  • @bsd300d Dictator my Ass? He went in just to get cheaper gasoline. If you were an Iraqi would you want some white guy to invade your country? Pull your head out of your dick and get some education before you start BSing. What do you know about chopin? STFU

  • @JediChopin Really? It's over? They've killed all the Tibetans?!? Holy shit!!!

  • @JediChopin not just bush america is fucked up and people who look past all of the poverty and all the problems we have and judge other nations are just brainwashed and ignorant to whats really going on.

  • too late....

  • what was the name of Lang Lang's piano peice ?? at the opening ceremonyyy.....anyone (:

  • "Ode to the Motherland" i think.

  • "that's nice. too late."

    hahahahhahahhha wow.

  • You must yet milk drink !!! shit .

  • Stop spread nonsense. What did they do wrong to the girl? She is not fit for the role then let the other girl do the job. Just like in the movie. The parents and the girl agreed with the arrangement. Her name was also mentioned to give her credit for the event.

  • Well said, archive0001. kyleclef sounds like a spammer. I noticed how he/she didn't retaliate to your remark with common logic.

  • Pavarotti had pancreatic cancer, that is a fair excuse. Just because this girl wasn't pretty enough is not an acceptable reason to get a prettier girl to lip sync to her singing afer she fairly won a competition.

  • I agree. Why would they replace an amazing singer with just a pretty girl? She won the part to sing, and I think she should've done it, no matter her looks.

  • Well maybe China is trying to be more like the west in terms of the roll image plays in music.

  • you just made that shit out of your ass.

the "pretty" girl was chosen first, and then the director didnt think her voice was good enough and then found another one of the finalists.

BOTH of their names appear on the program given out AT the stadium at the Olympics.

  • Why not replace her with the other girl? If the director didn't think her voice was good enough, switch her for the other contestant. It isn't a beauty pageant after all.

  • both their names appeared in the program at the stadium (I was there).

  • You know it is, c'mon. Billions of people watching that shit, and that one girl will represent China. I'm sure you'de do that same thing if you were in the directors' position.

  • But what does it do for China's image? It certainly shows that they care more for superficial beauty than true talent.

  • Yea, because the entire population of China, all 1 billion + people or so, had a say in it, right? Stop making ignorant, shallow thinking comments like that. And don't tell me you've never made decisions based on superficial beauty before.

  • you're so right there...and Lang Lang hiself is living proof

  • They are just making a nice show for everyone. They gave the girl a chance to sing, and the other to just lip sync and walk around. Everybody wins, but you idiots hate that little girl that is lip syncing.

  • well, people nowadays love politicize everything..

just because its about China, all the good things can be craps in their eyes.

wonder if these critic's countries can do any better than that...

  • its true that it wasnt really the little girls fault rather the governments fault

  • lets keep it real - the entire planet is superficial and everything is based on looks......the US is like that, Europe too, not just China

  • @Shokeybutsi why are you saying that? when did music... well.... classical music artist cared about looks?

  • @archive0001 The point is, it was a little girl told she's to ugly to perform on TV. That is not sinophobia. That is just rude to do to a child.
