He did pretty good it's usually fairly easy to beat Patchy using Sakura or Reimu in the game you just take advantage of the fact she's really bad at close combat and fight her in a very non touhou fashion and dodge or block her one really good close range attack that whirl wind thing and give her a beat down.

Though oddly enough it's really easy to beat Youmu with Patchy in IaMP you just stay away from her try to avoid having to duke it out close range and projectile spam her.

Christ Sakuya's time stop super looked kinda cheap, even though you could block it. Though Patch won in the end :O
