@viciouscanadianvixen Actually, it's because jitterbug isn't as "ballroom" as jive. Jive is considered a Latin dance...Latin swing. Jitterbug is an American swing dance. It's a derivative of Lindy Hop, which originated from Charleston. Jitterbug is also kin to East Coast Swing, Carolina Shag, and West Coast Swing. Basically, everything related to American swing has appeared on DWTS only once or twice. Ditto for hustle and country two step. Ballroom usually tends to ignore these social dances.
@555grommy LOL, it's so funny you say that because i feel the complete opposite! i find she looks more classic with the dark hair. she looks too harsh with the blonde.
@555grommy ...well either way, i think she's the best female dancer on the show. i hate that len is so harsh and critical of her because she has a unique creative side where dancing is concerned. not once has he given her partner's a 10. it's childish. she's an absolutely fabulous dancer. (both performances of lance and lacey's that night (mambo and this one) deserved perfect scores and len ruined it for them)
I agree he is way to hard on her. Especially last season in the last 3 or 4 weeks when her and Kyle were doing REALLY good, Carrie Ann and Bruno gave tens, and he had nothing to complain about yet he still gave her a nine!
@555grommy ...did you see her first season where she was partnered with lance? even tom bergeron said something after they did their tango about how hard len was on them. it was RIDICULOUS!! lance wasn't horrible and all he did was crap on them each week...especially lance and lacey's rumba! i hate that dance because it's so boring and lacks movement usually, but lance and lacey's was incredible and he shit all over it!
No last season was the first I saw with Lacey ): I usually don't like to say the judges are being unfair because I don't know anything about dancing but I agree Len is way to hard on her!
@555grommy ...look up the vid-it's really awful the way he went on about it when it's the dance i seriously can't watch even my favs do but this one was a great version of it.

me & my friends had tumbling?gymnastics 4 P.E. & we dd the same move as 1:43-6 it was so fun bt it was hard to jump off.....

the jitterbug is just the jive on crack! lol i think it's one of the reasons they don't have it on anymore because it's too similar to the jive.
