hows it going jay Im curently looking for an apprenticeship at a shop right now, im pretty good cutting and all but im having hard time understanding what to do to get and apprenticeship meaning like the application yo mentioned and all that and what I would have to do. If you can get back to me that be awesome. oh and btw pretty awesome dvds, just purchased barber quest 1 & 2 and thats where i pretty much got my skills. thanks jay.

I'm not a barber, but my friend's dad is. He asked me to be an apprentice and I'm seriously thinking about it--but I have to learn how to cut first. (BTW Jay, I'm going to buy your DVD.) What's in it for the Master barber? It brings in more customers, he gets rent or commission from your chair, and if he's looking to retire, it means he can sell his business to someone he knows he can trust. If he can't trust you after 2 years, something's wrong.
there is nothing in it for the master barber accept he gains a new barber thats all he gets a new worker your friends dad is just looking for someone new to work with him thats all he could get rent or commission thats something you guy hve to figure out thankis alot get the dvd it will hep
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that the Master getting some rent money or commission is a bad thing. It's good for everyone. The apprentice gets trained and gets paid. The Master gets a new partner and gets paid. EVERYBODY WINS! It's a great system. And I loved your video about money management. The advice you gave about how to handle money is good for everyone, no matter what they do for a living.
okay i have two questions man, How much do you have to pay to go to barber school? and for how long do you have to go to school to be a apprentice?? thanks a lot man good videos keep it up
u pay depending on where u live all states are not the same price google the state u live in and barber school it shoould come up as for apprentice u dont go to school it free

after you get the apprentice paper.... what you do with it, you have to turn it in or something and where do you pay the 20 bucks
