I'm getting this on Xbox, basically because I have such a slow computer. And to be honest, I really don't care if the graphics are better on PC or the maps are bigger in PC or you can play with more people on PC. I'd rather just play the game.
How is it when u are switching weapons in the menu? Do u "buy" weapons with the points you earn or is it like Call of Duty were u get weapons when u level up? Please respond!
FYI most of the people here defending the PC version will in reality have their version set to "high" at best and experience 15 - 30 fps depending on what's rendered.
i realy want to get it on pc not because the graphics are apparently 'better' but because of the 64 players in one match i would be sick but the problem with pc is that you need a bloody good pc to play it which will cost well over £1000 so its a game that costs £40 goes to about £1040 where on the xbox you can get it put it in an go an an no worries yeah not as many people but at least we havent spent god know how much on the game just for a couple more players in a match

@ElitexLegendxx you do know that, since games come out on consoles (pretty much 0 demanding pc games out there that are pc exclusive) it means that with hardware up to 5 years old you can still play the games on your pc right?
The reason to upgrade your pc is to get all the goods you don't get on consoles, one of these being proper physics (case in point: Batman: Arkham City). If you have an i7 with a GTX 580 and 12 gigs of ram and a proper screen all your games will ofcourse look alot better.

Think about it people. Based on the success of Battlefield 2 you knew DICE would be making a Battlefield 3. This game, in some iteration, has probably been in development at the studio since the release of Battlefield 2. Elements from the Bad Company franchise, Mirror's Edge and Medal of Honour are in this game. This is DICE and EA's breadwinner and they have said they are gunning for COD. Do not use the beta as a representation of the final product. The final product will be amazing.

i really enjoy playing this game, but it has a lot of bugs as of today. i know its a beta and blabla, but the game is shipping in 20 days, which means there isnt a lot of time, yet i cant finish like 45% of the matches because it looses the connection to the EA servers. thats a thing id call a MASSIVE problem. im not even talking about all the other stuff thats there, like falling through the ground,not being able to aim, sound, invisible weapons etc. i dont know how they gonna fix it in 2weeks
bad hit detection wen u gettin hit or tryin to hit somebody, glichly, freezes, n flashes, da guns hav ugly recoil, n da sounds of footsteps come n go. Hopefully thse problems will b fixed

Frostbite 1 was better! Gone to complicated and the up front melee mechanism is retarded, Graphics have indeed be compromised due to the Frostbite 2 destruction, Processors on consoles will struggle but keep up-only just :(

I feel pretty bad for all these Xbox folks. You see Xbox or Ps3 graphics for that matter will not nor will they ever get close to PC graphics. I have to admit for Xbox this is pretty good graphics though.
I'd also like to point out that this is a outdated version of the game, for some reason they weren't allowed to release the current version, so most of the issues have most likely been fixed by now.

The game beta was created in the beginning of the BF3 project. meaning that before all the rendering, texturing, effects, ETC that they put into the game to make it look amazing will not be in the beta.

Honestly, if you're playing this beta, and acting like it's the best thing ever and it has no problems, you're just as bad as any CoD fanboy. I understand too, that this is a beta, and beta's are used for testing, but with the time frame DICE has to fix this, and with them probably already in the packaging state, I don't see this being corrected. If it does get patched, or fixed, good, I'll be happy. At the moment, I'm extremely disappointed.
1. Revert back to Bad Company 2 spawns so the opposing team can't spawn camp you like I've seen while playing.
2. Un-nerf the way the weapons shoot. If you notice, burst firing your fully automatic weapon doesn't really help like it did in BC2. You can hold down the trigger and get the same amount of kick / results which is really bad when trying to shoot long distances.

BF3 Beta is really good, even though it takes 99% of it's features from BC2. The only new things I've seen are maps, weapons, and graphics. But then again, BC2 was amazing. BF3 will hopefully be better about bugs when it comes out.

being a BF fan, this beta seriously killed the hype for this game, so dissapointed, the first part of Operation Metro is stupidly buggy, a little better now but the map is so boring, BF isnt a only infantry based combat game, and this is all that operation metro is...

@ElitexLegendxx you do know that, since games come out on consoles (pretty much 0 demanding pc games out there that are pc exclusive) it means that with hardware up to 5 years old you can still play the games on your pc right?
The reason to upgrade your pc is to get all the goods you don't get on consoles, one of these being proper physics (case in point: Batman: Arkham City). If you have an i7 with a GTX 580 and 12 gigs of ram and a proper screen all your games will ofcourse look alot better.

Oh my god its just a beta the graphics are not what they will be in the game because of the file size on PC its 3.9 gigs and that does not take too long to donwload on PC on on 360 it would take FOREVER! Think about it people. Based on the success of Battlefield 2 you knew DICE would be making a Battlefield 3. This game, in some iteration, has probably been in development at the studio since the release of Battlefield 2. Elements from the Bad Company franchise, Mirror's Edge and Medal of Honour are in this game. This is DICE and EA's breadwinner and they have said they are gunning for COD. Do not use the beta as a representation of the final product. The final product will be amazing.

i really enjoy playing this game, but it has a lot of bugs as of today. i know its a beta and blabla, but the game is shipping in 20 days, which means there isnt a lot of time, yet i cant finish like 45% of the matches because it looses the connection to the EA servers. thats a thing id call a MASSIVE problem. im not even talking about all the other stuff thats there, like falling through the ground,not being able to aim, sound, invisible weapons etc. i dont know how they gonna fix it in 2weeks

The game beta was created in the beginning of the BF3 project. meaning that before all the rendering, texturing, effects, ETC that they put into the game to make it look amazing will not be in the beta.
A beta is a simulator of the game made for testing !
A demo is a trial of the game for a sample !
= Meaning the beta was created probebly during the beginning of making this game. So of course it will look like shit. Wait until the real game comes out. you will be in AWE !

Honestly, if you're playing this beta, and acting like it's the best thing ever and it has no problems, you're just as bad as any CoD fanboy. I understand too, that this is a beta, and beta's are used for testing, but with the time frame DICE has to fix this, and with them probably already in the packaging state, I don't see this being corrected. If it does get patched, or fixed, good, I'll be happy. At the moment, I'm extremely disappointed.

2 things I would change about the game:
1. Revert back to Bad Company 2 spawns so the opposing team can't spawn camp you like I've seen while playing.
2. Un-nerf the way the weapons shoot. If you notice, burst firing your fully automatic weapon doesn't really help like it did in BC2. You can hold down the trigger and get the same amount of kick / results which is really bad when trying to shoot long distances.

BF3 Beta is really good, even though it takes 99% of it's features from BC2. The only new things I've seen are maps, weapons, and graphics. But then again, BC2 was amazing. BF3 will hopefully be better about bugs when it comes out.

i pre-ordered (as a modern warfare 2 fan) this well made looking game.
when i saw the beta i was just laughing.i hope the battlefield 3 fanboys stop trolling under the mw3 videos now because they did it way more than the mw3 fanboys.
this is the game for real men huh?i'll just play the better game have fun with the worst FPS ever created.

The bugs are horrible and are probably not going to be fixed because the game is being packaged as we speak.
The graphics are horrible, the textures up close are very low res and are so ugly to look at.
Also the controls are clunky as hell and do not feel fluid at all, there really isn't much destructibility, and the flashlight thing is just stupid.
I really did have much faith and expectations for this game.
I am very disappointed. :(

@snappydude37431 The graphics won't compare to pc due it being on xbox dumbass. The controls are fine with me, you just suck, dumbass. The flashlight works great if used properly, yet again you suck, dumbass. The destructibility is lacking due to no vehicles yet, it is one map too dumbass. OH AND ITS A BETA DUMBASS!!!!!

@snappydude37431 That's why they patch the game. Every game has glitches before you patch it. Remember all of COD's bugs?
They graphics are beautiful! Are you kidding? If you're saying that because of the graphics on this 360p video, and not in the actual game, .. then you're an idiot.
It plays like BFBC2, except smoother because of the new engine. If you don't like the feeling, then get on it PC.
As do I, and it's a kick ass game. The COD's are so "Bleh". They're all the same.

@snappydude37431 Hahaha youre so clueless man. This beta was made about 2-3 months ago by a special division of DICE. This division is in no way connected to the actual developers of the game. They also had to tone down the destruction and graphics considerably because it would cause many problems. The beta was made to test servers, not
