  • ooo-hooo-hoo-hoo! and transcendtal knowledge! punk rawk

  • I love this era of cro mags stuff. Who did all the leads on this record? That's some serious shredding!

  • sounds like a boring metal band.....infact they are!

  • Well played no doubt. Lots of Faith No More influence.

  • Doug And Gabby rip the shit out of those songs....To bad all good things must come to an end....Doug Holland is playing with KRAUT again with new songs ..The reson Cro=mags asked him to play in the frist place...

  • A zillion Hare Krsna's to Jayananda Bloodclot!

  • why do good bands always turn into shit??

  • the most underrated album of the band....such a pity.

It has a depth in it.So fucking underrated....

  • It was the 90s that killed Cro Mags... Not hari krishna...

  • sounds like bad brains IVSI

  • sanskrit, vedas and punk combination in this video is so sick.

  • sorry hardcore:DDD

  • HARCORE PUNK for life!!

  • @gabeesz this aint hardcore. its metal crap.

  • @marvelousmarvin71

hardcore is an attitude - not a specific kind of music. So was Sense Field, Into Another, Merauder, Farside, Leeway, Quicksand...and so on. You name it.

And yes.. Alpha Omega is metal..and it's the best metal album ever with an intense hardcore spirit! Every CM release is an jewel of its own

  • @JiggyBeatz "hardcore is an attitude - not a specific kind of music"......What, so i could listen to nothing except robbie williams(not that i would, obviously) and still call myself hardcore then? LOL.

  • AWESOME 5 stars!!!

  • better than all fuckin shit New-Metal

  • Cro-Mags - the fuckin' best NYHC band ever.

And no bullshitin' but the crossover within punk -oi-metal is fuckin' awesome and has so much power than any other today's bands will ever have.

    Fuckin kids!

  • agree

  • you have to move forward from hardcore lets be fucking realistic here, listen to all the other bands, every album sounds the same,at least all the crom-mags albums have a different sound to them, anyway, hardcore these days sounds like fucking shitty hip-hop so its all a farce anyway

  • hard core punk rock man not screamo

  • i hear a little megadeth in it huh,

  • The Cro-Mags singer, John Joseph, actually beat up Dave Mustaine on tour once haha.

  • How do you know lol? i know Mike Muir had some fight with him and everybody hates him rofl or hated.

  • It's in John Joseph's book, 'The Evolution of a Cro-Magnon'.

  • Bad Brains were playing a show with Megadeth and all the Bad Brains guys brought their kids and girlfriends along to the show. Apparently Mustaine was being really disrespectful to the Bad Brains and their kids and girlfriends, so I think John Joseph, who was there at the time, grabbed Dave Mustaine by his hair and smashed him against the wall, and HR got really pissed off and screamed 'YOU WANT VIOLENCE?!' at Mustaine.

  • Cool story, gotta get that book someday, im out of money now though

  • typical, sounds like dave mustaine. =P

  • i just finished reading that book. he became awesome friends with mustaine later though.

  • They should have stopped after te age of quarrel.

    Thats my opinion.

Its all stupid bla bla bla

  • I like this song, and this whole record. Video is kinda lame though.

  • the vid is alright. They are doing thier own thing and are dedicated.

  • nice song from a legendary hardcore band... the song isn't their best but is really enhanced and saved by the grace of John Joseph bloodclot...

  • This song as well as the whole album suck so bad. Its hard to believe that some of those people were involved in the making of one of the best HC-Albums ever. Their 2nd album Best wishes was already a sign of things going from great to worse

  • ever hear near death experience?

  • i dont understand those fucking comments.allmusic, the same.2 stars.and it was the most progressive album of metal-core.

  • Crossover shmossover...who the hell cares?? Cro-mags f'n rule.

  • cro-mags are just fucking great i like all their albums each of them has great songs on it , but the video is strange ^^

  • AOQ is the only Cro-Mags album there is.

  • Exactly!

  • Backed.

  • The 3rd Cro-mag album. Doug ( les Paul )

Gabby ( Strat ) Made a good team. To bad they never toured this album. ( what a shame )

  • I'm sorry, but, this garbage doesn't even come close to Age of Quarrel. They turned into a fuckin' hair metal band. This shit sounds like Skid Row. Krishna is to blame.

  • Hey it's no masterpiece but I think this a is great song, and John actually showed he could SING! This is a great Metal/crossover song man, it's not hardcore punk but so what. The lyrics are great too. This is no Skid Row! The album has about 3 really good songs on it this being one of them. In fact I think he sounds a lot like Eddie Leeway with a little HR.

  • Cro-Mags are rooted in Hardcore and just like D.R.I. "crossed-over" somewhat out of nesecessity. Cro-Mags are classic as fuck still

  • I don´t like this very much, sounds more like Metal! But Hard times or We gotta know kick motherfuckin ass!!!!

  • I love this tune..Its so heavy on their live album

  • Bow to the true Hardcore gods!

  • although this song doesnt sound hardcore at all. Sounds like some good 80's metal

  • This is classified as 80's Hardcore.

  • This is Crossover Thrash

  • this is crossover. how are they hardcore gods?

  • Age of Quarrel was a legendary HC album!

  • this is probably after they started following that harry krishna bullshit... hippied them out

  • Ive been listening to the Cro-mags for over 21 years. This song kicks ass and Johns voice is perfect for this track.Yes I prefer the first 2 albums but this stands up.Good shit.Kinda has a Leeway vibe to it a little.

  • read john bloodclots book, the evolution of a cromagnon. everyone got their own side to the story

  • I have Near Death Experience somewhere and I can't stand to listen to it because of the vocals. War in the Streets has to be one of the worst songs I've heard in a long time.

  • John's the man!

    Fuck the maybe before's.

    A.O.Q

  • great video

but if you wanna know how Eric Casanova sang before John Joseph was in the band visit my website you can find in my youtube profile here. this website provides a rapidshare download link to the Cro-Mags demo from 1982.

    share it

  • i can hang with this, i'm just not nuts over the vocals

  • I was wrong John sang 7 Harley sang 1

  • hsbg your wrong!

John sings all of the songs on the album.

  • yeah to bad harley stole all these songs from parris and got john joseph to sing them so in my book and in parris's this is not a real cro-mags cd. as much as i respect harley for what hes done. hes a big fuckin baby

  • Harley is not a baby he lived almost his whole childhood in streets! go read his History before calling him baby.

  • im aware of his history. but when it came time to tour with paris mayhew he was a baby. go to paris mayhews cro-mags website and read the q&as paris explains it all

  • John sings only this one. All other songs are sang by Harley.

  • this is really great song and video

  • fuck you all, just cause you change the music you play doesn't make you a sellout.

Going from Punk to Metal isn't selling out cause both have the same basic moral value, its just that they changed.

And to all of you who said "Heavy metal bullshit" are you fucking telling me that you wouldnt have gone to see Slayer in their prime?

  • The Cro-Mags did what every great band does. They evolved as musicians and as a band. Same exact thing happened to Suicidal Tendencies, and they were better off because of it.

  • ur right man, Suicidal fucking rules!

  • damn straight they do.

  • Good record. They sounded much better with Harley singing and the metal sound!

  • Oh my word! This is a surprise. Mahmood is into punk rock. Not conducive with being a Muslim is it Mahmood?

  • i use to listen to the first 1:45 of this song like, 12xs in a row before i got my fill.

path to perfection is like their awakening. if they could do that all the time...

  • I heard they are reuniting, and going on tour with Pansy Division

  • i agree fucking great album a little heavier but it's still hardcore

  • fuck you all , this is a great album.

  • I remember getting this album when it came out.. being all excited 'cause John Joseph was back in the band... and then I listened to it... I was speechless, I couldn't listen to the whole thing, and I have no idea where the album is now. Incredibly disappointing. Harley's War is doing some good stuff nowadays though.

  • This shit sounds like REO Speedwagon on LSD. I fucking hate that metal sound. What ya got to say about that Harley??? Hahahaha

  • I like it very much. as same as the age of quarell. Dude this first riff, how can you not like it. and the drums . damn

  • It is terrible heavy metal. Horrible.

  • It's okay but it's not quite the Cro-Mags we tend to remember now. Experimenting is good but this went into a whole new direction. It sounds like early 90s hair metal bands mixed with some Metal Church, Excel, Beowulf and later Suicidal Tendencies and later COC. Since Harley and Bloodclot aren't groovin' on this flavor now, I'd say it was an experiment to get some paper. You can't hate on that. Maximum respect to the Cro-Mags in all its forms and line-ups.

  • Oh man, I still have this record, I don't think I've ever listened to it completely, to think of Age Of Quarrel, or Best Wishes and then this? Bad experiment.

  • This is my favorite album, great song!!!!

  • Guitar is on point, but the vocals are cheesy as hell. Fans of hardcore and old Cro-Mags rightfully laughed this off.

  • just because it doesnt sound like aoq doesnt mean its not good, show some respect. band rules

  • fuckin' rock.

  • AOQ their best album by far and one of the best hardcore albums ever recorded. This song is poor.

  • best band ever, AO probably best album ever, sorry AOQ

  • a different song from the ealier ones but still a good song with a hardcore spirit... they grew up guys! and they had the right to refuse a shitty remake of "the age of quarrel"....

  • Great song of the best Hard core band.........

  • This is the worst shit I've ever heard/seen. Cro Mags are awesome and after meeting JJ and Mackie as the FVK I can safely say AOQ was the best Cro Mags album by far. This is just embarrassing.

  • ha ha ha ha harley,

the true face of the cro mags.

  • this is garbage what waste the cromags going from the biggest band on the planet in 86 to this crap

  • Amen.

    This is complete CRAP.

    AoQ forever!!!!!!

  • Something must be wrong with me. I don't like AOQ, but i absolutly love Best Wishes and Alpha/Omega. This song is just like a standart early 90ies-Crossover song, but See the signs, apocalypse and changes are just great songs.

  • jiggly if you knew anything you'd know they were punk when they first came out in the early 80's. so that sound is not new

  • great song

  • Alpha Omega is my favorite Cromag Album ever!

Fuck that new OiPunk shit that came out lately...it doesnt interest anyone...at least in Europe.

  • new Oipunk? they started off as a punk band dude. now they're playing this bullshit metal/alternative music. it's cool though, after you reach that age it's alright to sellout in my book.

  • isnt as bad as I remembered it. Hey harley whats up man I met you at Rock and Roll Plus in Philadelphia way back in 2000, just before the show at The Troc , I still have the signed Split Reissue of Age of Quarrel/Best Wishes. Thanks for signing it bro. Peace and Stay Real.

  • Mahmood42978...."Way back in 2000"?! I saw them at 930 Club in '89/'90 for Best Wishes. I wish I saw them for AOQ but missed the shows.

  • Joshnwoods well congrats, you're more hardcore than everyone here. Feel proud.

  • I didn't say I'm more hardcore than everyone here. You said that to me because you now feel stupid for saying it. Saying "way back" was your sad attempt at sounding "more hardcore" than everyone here. I just thought it sounded funny. The first time I saw the Allman Brothers was around 2000 but I wouldn't be on an Allman Brothers page with all their old fans saying I saw them "way back in 2000". Get the point OG.

  • Johnwoods no I said that to you because you seem to take things out of context to make yourself look like you're more "hardcore" ...I'm not here to prove myself but apparently you are ...so feel free. I dont follow your way of thinking that the music I listen to is the definitive force that identifies me. ..anyways enjoy yourself. You're the reason why 90% of hardcore kids are annoying

  • Mahmood42978, I won't entertain you anymore. You can entertain yourself by watching your anti-American and pro-terrorist videos set as your favorites on your YouTube page. No assumption here, check his page people. I hope he deosn't delete them. Just click on his name. Btw, you're the one who is annoying and I'm sure you've been told that before.

  • Joshwoods you are lame so because I save videos which deal with current world issues it becomes Pro-Terrorist? Get G-Dubbaya's dong out of your mouth son. Don't worry I would NEVER delete those videos, I'm not one of those warped brainwashed videos who gets in a panic anytime somebody with a Beard and speaks Arabic walks by like you do. It's cuz of people like you that make Americans seem like brainwashed fools.

  • well said. *thumbs up*

  • Alpha Omega is great Album.

  • I think this is a great song from a great album, but of course a terrible video. Can't compare it to 'Age of Quarrel', but Alpha/Omega is actually one of the best 90's progressive-thrash metal albums!

  • Great Solo!!

  • I gotta admit this was my least favourite line up

but revenge had good shit on it, best wishes was Ok not great but ay you know oppinions are like assholes
