Doug And Gabby rip the shit out of those songs....To bad all good things must come to an end....Doug Holland is playing with KRAUT again with new songs ..The reson Cro=mags asked him to play in the frist place...
hardcore is an attitude - not a specific kind of music. So was Sense Field, Into Another, Merauder, Farside, Leeway, Quicksand...and so on. You name it.
And yes.. Alpha Omega is metal..and it's the best metal album ever with an intense hardcore spirit! Every CM release is an jewel of its own
@JiggyBeatz "hardcore is an attitude - not a specific kind of music"......What, so i could listen to nothing except robbie williams(not that i would, obviously) and still call myself hardcore then? LOL.
you have to move forward from hardcore lets be fucking realistic here, listen to all the other bands, every album sounds the same,at least all the crom-mags albums have a different sound to them, anyway, hardcore these days sounds like fucking shitty hip-hop so its all a farce anyway
Bad Brains were playing a show with Megadeth and all the Bad Brains guys brought their kids and girlfriends along to the show. Apparently Mustaine was being really disrespectful to the Bad Brains and their kids and girlfriends, so I think John Joseph, who was there at the time, grabbed Dave Mustaine by his hair and smashed him against the wall, and HR got really pissed off and screamed 'YOU WANT VIOLENCE?!' at Mustaine.
This song as well as the whole album suck so bad. Its hard to believe that some of those people were involved in the making of one of the best HC-Albums ever. Their 2nd album Best wishes was already a sign of things going from great to worse
I'm sorry, but, this garbage doesn't even come close to Age of Quarrel. They turned into a fuckin' hair metal band. This shit sounds like Skid Row. Krishna is to blame.
Hey it's no masterpiece but I think this a is great song, and John actually showed he could SING! This is a great Metal/crossover song man, it's not hardcore punk but so what. The lyrics are great too. This is no Skid Row! The album has about 3 really good songs on it this being one of them. In fact I think he sounds a lot like Eddie Leeway with a little HR.
Ive been listening to the Cro-mags for over 21 years. This song kicks ass and Johns voice is perfect for this track.Yes I prefer the first 2 albums but this stands up.Good shit.Kinda has a Leeway vibe to it a little.
I have Near Death Experience somewhere and I can't stand to listen to it because of the vocals. War in the Streets has to be one of the worst songs I've heard in a long time.
but if you wanna know how Eric Casanova sang before John Joseph was in the band visit my website you can find in my youtube profile here. this website provides a rapidshare download link to the Cro-Mags demo from 1982.
yeah to bad harley stole all these songs from parris and got john joseph to sing them so in my book and in parris's this is not a real cro-mags cd. as much as i respect harley for what hes done. hes a big fuckin baby
im aware of his history. but when it came time to tour with paris mayhew he was a baby. go to paris mayhews cro-mags website and read the q&as paris explains it all
The Cro-Mags did what every great band does. They evolved as musicians and as a band. Same exact thing happened to Suicidal Tendencies, and they were better off because of it.
I remember getting this album when it came out.. being all excited 'cause John Joseph was back in the band... and then I listened to it... I was speechless, I couldn't listen to the whole thing, and I have no idea where the album is now. Incredibly disappointing. Harley's War is doing some good stuff nowadays though.
It's okay but it's not quite the Cro-Mags we tend to remember now. Experimenting is good but this went into a whole new direction. It sounds like early 90s hair metal bands mixed with some Metal Church, Excel, Beowulf and later Suicidal Tendencies and later COC. Since Harley and Bloodclot aren't groovin' on this flavor now, I'd say it was an experiment to get some paper. You can't hate on that. Maximum respect to the Cro-Mags in all its forms and line-ups.
Oh man, I still have this record, I don't think I've ever listened to it completely, to think of Age Of Quarrel, or Best Wishes and then this? Bad experiment.
a different song from the ealier ones but still a good song with a hardcore spirit... they grew up guys! and they had the right to refuse a shitty remake of "the age of quarrel"....
This is the worst shit I've ever heard/seen. Cro Mags are awesome and after meeting JJ and Mackie as the FVK I can safely say AOQ was the best Cro Mags album by far. This is just embarrassing.
Something must be wrong with me. I don't like AOQ, but i absolutly love Best Wishes and Alpha/Omega. This song is just like a standart early 90ies-Crossover song, but See the signs, apocalypse and changes are just great songs.
new Oipunk? they started off as a punk band dude. now they're playing this bullshit metal/alternative music. it's cool though, after you reach that age it's alright to sellout in my book.
isnt as bad as I remembered it. Hey harley whats up man I met you at Rock and Roll Plus in Philadelphia way back in 2000, just before the show at The Troc , I still have the signed Split Reissue of Age of Quarrel/Best Wishes. Thanks for signing it bro. Peace and Stay Real.
I didn't say I'm more hardcore than everyone here. You said that to me because you now feel stupid for saying it. Saying "way back" was your sad attempt at sounding "more hardcore" than everyone here. I just thought it sounded funny. The first time I saw the Allman Brothers was around 2000 but I wouldn't be on an Allman Brothers page with all their old fans saying I saw them "way back in 2000". Get the point OG.
Johnwoods no I said that to you because you seem to take things out of context to make yourself look like you're more "hardcore" ...I'm not here to prove myself but apparently you are ...so feel free. I dont follow your way of thinking that the music I listen to is the definitive force that identifies me. ..anyways enjoy yourself. You're the reason why 90% of hardcore kids are annoying
Mahmood42978, I won't entertain you anymore. You can entertain yourself by watching your anti-American and pro-terrorist videos set as your favorites on your YouTube page. No assumption here, check his page people. I hope he deosn't delete them. Just click on his name. Btw, you're the one who is annoying and I'm sure you've been told that before.
Joshwoods you are lame so because I save videos which deal with current world issues it becomes Pro-Terrorist? Get G-Dubbaya's dong out of your mouth son. Don't worry I would NEVER delete those videos, I'm not one of those warped brainwashed videos who gets in a panic anytime somebody with a Beard and speaks Arabic walks by like you do. I think this is a great song from a great album, but of course a terrible video. Can't compare it to 'Age of Quarrel', but Alpha/Omega is actually one of the best 90's progressive-thrash metal albums!
