  • my mom would love this! nearly perfect!

  • @elvisuptown1

    thank you very much

I am glad you said nearly

    perfect would be boring ;-)

  • I am a real taurus

two legs on the earth to not loose contact with real life

I guess you must be a sagitarrius or a lion?

  • Thank you for sharing your home on Xmas...

    It's a wonderful life.... ; )

  • @rwcbanzai

yes christmas is always so pretty with the tree and the lights

    thank you

  • @7lizet I think it's the environmental atmosphere of the artist that sets the mood... Thx 4 sharing HomeMaking!

  • @rwcbanzai

atmosphere is very important for me because it makes me quiet and peaceful

my mind has to be quiet to write anything of importance to me

like they say in buddism: your mind has to be like your reflection in quiet water

  • @7lizet Yes, in Zen Buddhism.meditation/concentration There are many schools of Buddhism, like there are in other faiths. Have you studied just Japanese Buddhism or have followed it back thru Korea, China & India? It is interesting, that like Dutch history, Buddhism was spread thru trade & commerce, not by warfare.

  • @rwcbanzai

I only red books about it

I am member of the libary here

I have always red a lot

first I was interested because of the Dalai Lama of Tibet

that now is changed into China you see

I love reading about other cultures or believes

  • @7lizet Me too... but uTube takes up most of my reading & writing time now. Yes, my mother a Buddhist & dad a Luthern made me half & half & interested in all philiosophy (love of wisdom).... ; D

Do you not have a syncretic personal philosophy now?

I've found that I'm an assimilation of East & West but believe more so in Nichiren's teachings revealing the ultimate reality of "Casuality" as revealed in Guatama's "Lotus Sutra". I've found that to understand Buddhism we must study the history.

  • @rwcbanzai I believe in what Socrates said:

we must act in a way that we do not harm anybody and that our behaviour is one with our inner conscience

I also believe in the quantum theorie of Stepen Hawkings

that means that we are all made of the same particles and that we are all equal

emptiness and form are the same but that is also a buddhistic principle

I was raised roman catholic but not practising anymore

  • @7lizet I see. Christ was a Jew & not Catholic (universalChurch) & rebelled against priest lies. Buddha was a Hindu & rebelled against priest lies. Hawkins rebelled against the theory of one universe. Quantam Physics reveals a MultiVerse. I am a proponent of Causality & propose the hypothesis of light as we are all reflections of photons (dots Of Light)... In Buddhism it is the reflection of the mind & photography (lightWriting) is the art of light. We are so fortunate to live to see it !

  • @rwcbanzai

    Stephen Hawkin I ment

  • @7lizet Yes, I knew who you meant, not that I could read minds... ; D

What we have shared with each other are collective thoughts & indeed you are well read, as I.

I don't know everything, but I do know what the Lotus Sutra teaches about the key to understanding everthing is what science calls causality (cause&effect) & was first identifed by Nichiren in the 12th century Japan. I have yet to identify who named causality in the west & the time. Do you understand Esoterism & Exoterism?

  • @rwcbanzai

I know Christ was a jew and that he rebelled against priests

and I can understand why looking at the situation in catholic church with all the abuse

and the way women were treated etc.

and I do believe in cause and effect that is why I trie to be good although I am only human

    and full of mistakes myself

I heared about esoterism but do no know a lot about it

as I red more and more I understood how little we know and that we as human being live to much

    in our head

  • @7lizet Good point about to much pondering. Conceptual thinking is selfish unless expressed. Esoterism is philsophical talk about religous concepts that are kept confidential within a small goup like silent priests or current science. Exoterism is philosphical talk for everyOne like here on uTube, which the Buddhist in ancient times demonstrated with the gesture of sticking out their tongues. Knowledge is power & there are those who talk with closed fists... Sorry for getting too deep... ; (

  • @rwcbanzai

thank you for explaining to me

    knowledge is power yes indeed

but like buddhist say: first you see a tree

then you explore the tree to come back

to the point the tree is just the tree ;-)

have a nice day my teacher

  • @7lizet Yes, there are erroneous teachings in Buddhism & that quote is classic Hinayana/Theravada example as there is in all dogmas. There is more to Dendrology (study of trees) than you perceive. The sage of the shakya clan (Shakyamuni, aka Guatama, aka Buddha) studied trees to attain enlightenment. Specifically the Pipal tree aka the Bodhi Tree becuause no one knew where to find one growing out of the ground. The "Tree of Life" comes from his teachings 2,400bce.The word Bodhissatva ....

  • @rwcbanzai

people have all kind of theories and believes and they claim to own the truth while in fact

their truth is what they choose to believe that is why belief is called belief

scientist want to explain everything but sill they must admit that they know little to

and some things are a mystery

    and than I wonder:

is it that important to know everything?

is it that important to say my belief is true?

if you see children playing they just play together without worrying about that

  • @7lizet Yes, I can see the desire for keeping things simple. What was the name of that movieBook "Lord of the Rings"? When nature takes over nurture & kids run wild & kill little Piggy, just like 'Animal Farm".. I deeply apologize for too much talk. Please delete our conversations here so our friends don't read....

Thank you for your time & understanding... ; )

  • @rwcbanzai

    no it does not matter

I understand you are enthousiastic and you studied it for years

but it is impossible to teach me all in one day and I do not judge you for thinking so deep

but I myself like to keep things simple because I see youtube more as a way to relax

and meet other people and if I would go to deep into the conversation it would take

a lot of time and I do have other things to do also like the household ;-)

that does not mean I don't respect your way of thinking

  • @7lizet Likewise my friend. I apologize for being so serious. It is late nightTime here & dayLight there. Thank you for listening & conversing...

  • @rwcbanzai I think what the world needs is this innocence of children it is not about which theorie or which belief is right because that only separates people if you see a person in need you can write a book or poem about that but maybe it is better to help him yourself Godfried Bomans wrote a story about that also he knew we all are responsable your consience tells you and I think you should listen to it but we all think of ourselves first me to I must be honest we only share a bit

  • @onewomanandsomesongs

    hi Janet

    thank you very much

my idea of being is rich is not to have money
