Out of all of GL's moment...THIS one always touches me! I cry everytime I see it! I met Michael O'Leary in CT and I told him so and he stated that was one of his best scripts/story line that he performed.
This scene makes me cry. Even though I am glad that they put Rick together with Mindy at the end I loved him with Abby. Both actors sure put alot of emotion into this scene. I had the chance to talk to Michael at the fan club party and told him I had just watched this scene. I said how really touching it was and he was really pleased that somebody remembered his time with Abby. They made a much better couple then when they had him with Mel.
I loved Abby and Rick. I wish they would have done a recast. They could have had both children and a career for Abby. I just don't really get it. He loved her more in letting her go.
She got stupid, when she got her hearing...BIG loss.

How heartbreaking. I remember this like it was yesterday and hated that they broke up. Abby was perfect for Rick.

There was nothing wrong with Mel. Even though Mindy and Rick grew up together, I would have Chosen Abby and Mel.

I think another major factor was that Rick wanted to have children and Abby didn't.
