I would recommend you look into how the Volt came about and how they don't really want to make the volt and how they will try to weasel out of really engaging electric drive. the Volt might never be mass produced and the one electric model is nowhere near enough. also must be lighter
Correct. The WTO will stop any tariffs we put up, which is why we need to get out of the WTO. They have made us change our laws in the past and rule against up 9 out of 10 times we go to them. When they do rule in our favor, the win we get is rarely a victory in any sense of the word.
While opponents claim the burden on the electrical grid created by millions of cars plugged in overnight, I can more easily generate my own electricity at home than pump oil and refine it in my back yard. Changing energy from one form to another, i.e. micro hydro generation, is sustainable, while fossil fuels are not.

Without tariffs to make imports the same price as domestic products, the Volt will lose market share to imports.
