@SaraMarshall1991 these are old videos from her, but she always said that her nails are naturally strong, but i have a tip for you :) GARLIC, yep, peel the garlic, cut a little piece and rub the juice all over your nails, let it dry for about 10-15 and remove it with water(it stinks a little) when you remove it with the water the smell will still be there, but only if you literally smell your nails. do this everyday for about 2 weeks-a month or until your nails feel long and stron. hope i help:)

Just a suggestion, you might wanna try using tape horizontally on your nails to give you a really straight line on your nails (: Works for me!

This is a little amateur looking :-\ If you don't have a steady hand to make a tip shape painting vertically, Then you should really look into using a piece of tape across your nail to give you a clean edge on the bottom of the white.. and painting vertically. I'm not trying to be rude, but people can tell you did that yourself, and aren't impressed.

An easier way to do french tips is to put scotch tape just under the main part that you want done and paint. It gives a more perfected look.

Actually, it is pretty easy to the french manicure on those perfectly shaped nails. It's not about white line, it's about shaping your nails and then just emphasizing them with that line...

1) Put 2 Coats of Base Coat (I used Revlon Quick Dry Base Coat)

2) Put Tape Over Your Nails (at the base of tip, make sure the tape covers everywhere except for base of tip and so on)

3) Use A Nail Brush (Or a Q-Tip if the brush is too large for your liking)

4) Apply white nail polish in short, vertical strokes across from the base to the tip of your nails.

5) Wait until dry, put another coat if you like but not more than 3 coats. Carefully peel off the tape, and...

6) ENJOY YOUR MANICURE! -L

If you can't paint as good and precise as julie, you can use tape as a guideline! Just apply it to your nail making sure it is tight and keeping the tip of your nail avaible, paint your nail white or whatever color you like, wait for it to dry and rip the tape of:-)

PS: Make sure the nail polish UNDER the tape is ALL dry before you apply tape, if not you could rip all the nail polish of again. So wait ten minutes for it to dry or if you have anything that could make it dry faster, do that!

@kimhelena u can file them that way. that's whay i do. or you can use a big clip for a smooth cut and just file the corners slightly so they wont be sharp. some ppl say that the clip can harm your nails but i think it depends on your nails.mine are pretty long and i dont have to worry about chipping or breaking. i do like to file better though.:)
