For X, I believe it steadily depletes HP, and will either reverse your controls or make your attacks weaker? I dunno, I've actually never gotten X infected.

For Zero, however, it completely restores your health, makes you invulnerable for a few moments and increases your attacking power.

This is true. to get this secret dialouge you must destroy the first 4 mavericks then your enigma shot must destroy the colony.after you do that go to skiver level and talk with him.

man i love the X series so much...i grew up on mega man...then when x-1 came out when i was 7 or 8 i was like HOLYSHIT! this is awesome!...till zero died close to the end...then x-2 came out then i could play as zero i was like...HOLYSHIT!...AGAIN!....i still own all the snes X games and the ps1 X's too...wish capcom would make another one like they did with megaman 9 and 10 for the downloads off psn or Wii..if they make another X id love to see how protoman would look if he was in one haha

I think I understand what you mean, I got the same. Either look but the actual CDs images and use them with Daemon Tools (so the computer thinks you actually inserted a CD) or keep looking for a Full version, but can also get the PSone's ISO file and a PSone emulator, as X5 is easy to emulate.

The conversation bit is different from the normal conversation when Skiver wasn't getting affect by the virus, and It is hard to get this conversation since you have to keep Zero to stay a life after the Enigma hit and Skiver alive at the same time, there is only a small slim chance to do taht

To be more exact, if the Maverick got affected by the viruses already, which mean either the Enigma attack success or fail, as long as the viruses got to spread and you still got bosses left to fight, then the dialogue will change. In Zero case, the dialogue will be different from X,and to get Zero speak with viruses infected viruses, the ENIGMA attack have to be a success, Zero must survive, and there must still be bosses left, (The odd is low-high) depend on which boss you spared at which time

I've once got to zero virus stage without defeating the bossess on the right side; it was mere luck. I was wondering how do you actually have the enigma burst through the colony. Do you have to beat 4 bosses under 12 hour till collison?

you can't have the Enigma burst through the colony, you can only give it a significant amount of damage, then it would give Zero a higher success chance to finish his job even if his ship isn't fully upgrade yet

ahh, what I meant was you can damage it80% and then you don't have to fight the other 4 bosses to upgrade the shuttle. so there isn't a definet way to do this? it's only a chance?

oh, but the higher you upgrade the Enigma/Shuttle, the higher the success chance
