Really incredible pics, congratulations again!! I'm Spanish and when visited Scotland for the first time, I wanted to go to Hampden, but it was under development then, so I couldn't see the old one. Really great!!
all that cash spent on it by the scottish fa and tis still a crap stadium. was at the 2007 cup final when celtic won the scottish fa cup and the view of the pitch was appalling.
Only good thing was though that when they scored a goal, the ash rose up, swirled round the roof and choked the bastards. They should have replaced the timber-stepped ash terracing with concrete steps years before the eventually did. I still miss the old North Stand, may have been a concrete monstrosity, but you got a great view of the pitch and the old wooden bucket seats were comfortable to sit on. Wish it had been given it a ten-year stay of execution. What puzzled me was why they demolished
The North Stand and its upper building in June 1982 but not only retained the lower half of the building for another ten years, they also gave it a coat of white paint to spruce it up. Surely they could have tarted up the North Stand and delayed its demolition until they were ready to build its replacement in 1992 then flattened the lot.
Incredible stadium, when it was full it was a sight to be hold. The new version of Hampden is very poor in comparison.

The memorys notice the cover for the Huns who couldn't take a wee bit of Rain?
