@jorge831bich I can't tell you an exact price, since i used an online coupon when buying it and I ordered a battery pack as well. If you go to the link I have in the description where you can buy it, and basically proceed as if you were going to buy it, it'll tell you how much it would cost and an estimate on what the shipping should be. The headset by itself costs $199, and you need the mixamp to get surround sound, so getting the bundle is a must if youve never had one before.
@jorge831bich as far as quality, it's really good, its not going to be hugely noticeable, although you do have a lot better directional awareness in games, however since most games have such high volume for sound effects, pinpointing things such as footsteps becomes very difficult unless the area is relatively quite, because you are trying to hear over all the other loud sounds of the games.
@jorge831bich I answered that in one of the other users comments...its on the top of the page, don't know how you missed it. You don't need them if your going to plug them into a usb port, if you have no available ports you need them, the only way to power it is by battery or usb.
Great the first time you put them on, surround sound is superb! Using them with MW3/BF3 and it just brings a whole new experience immersing you in the game. Great vid bro.
@brunoboy98 turned out I actually didn't need the pack, which was a bummer. It's useful if you want to free up a usb slot when using it, but you NEED to plug the usb in to get chat on ps3. So its not needed, plus you also just use 4 battery's instead if you want. Oh well.
ah yeah i was thinking that but had thought tht the pro was going to become "wireless" but i guess not thanks and yeah i have been on their site for some time just try to find money well with mi bday comin up in a few weeks and christmas im probaly going to get them
@100missedcalls this is actually the wired version, which the mixamp pro is used for. The wireless is more expensive and goes with the Mixamp 5.8, I'll put a link in the description to the exact page I got this from. I bought it straight from the astro gaming website.
@KENCASTODY well the code is expired now, it only lasted for a while during the time the PAX event went on. All I did was search the web for astro gaming codes and I went to some websites and tried them out and I found the PAX15 code and it worked.
