@fatizoo1000 Since they usually shoot movies out of order, the editors cut it apart and then put it back together in the right order. Also, since they usually use many takes, they may remove unnecessary sounds or lines.

@fatizoo1000 Film Editing is putting the movie togther and adding songs and stuff lke that. For example, if you make a home video. When you put the video on the computer and onto windows movie maker, when you put the clips togther thats film editing.

If I recall from typical ways of early post-production, after they finished editing the film, don't they go and score the film with a full orchestra? Of course, sometimes the composer has the opportunity to start early by looking at many early clips of the film.
