@MisterSplinters Anything really!!! You do a good job at teaching I never tried woodcarving and just randomly came across this video and ever since, I have been carving non stop haha. It would be nice if you could do a video on how to sharpen you blade because I just cant seem to get it right im using a shapining stone. IDK good job you really inspired me and a few friends to try something new thanks.

No you don't, but I find basswood the easiest to carve for this project. I've used mahogany, walnut and butternut in the past. Thanks - Joe

You should get a knife with a hard carbon steel so you don't have to sharpen while you're carving.
