George has always been one of my favorite singers, have seen him many times in concert and you gotta love Joe. Not a fan of what they call country today or of the people who like to think they sing country BUT I really like Joe, has a real country voice. Great post.
i could listen to the voice of George Jones endlessly. He has no superiors and damned few equals. And Joe Nichols,if i closed my eyes i could swear he is merle hagggard here,,,,brilliant perfomance and pairing of vocals
Great song by two great performers always love George and Joe is one the younger country singers I like he sounds like old country should be. thank you for the post.
As a true fan of the Hag, I was surprised at how well Joe Nichols sang his part. Nothing beats the original... except maybe "Must've Been Drunk," "C.C. Waterback," or the dialogue in the newer "Don't Get Around Much Anymore." I hope Hag and Jones can stay around long enough to do a third album together. The first two are some of the best albums ever made.

@NICHOLSFN I totally agree he should be a member, without guys like Alan Jackson,George Strait, and Joe Nichols traditional country has had the lick. Did you see where Blake Shelton has been honored as the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry? It really bothers me because the only reason he was invited is because he is with Miranda Lambert and because todays radio is playing his type of music.Like the song "Murder on music row" goes " Why they'd even tell tell the possum to pack up and go back home
Joe Nichols can sound so great, he could single handedly bring back the traditional sound of country music if he wanted to!! Him and Craig Morgan are great singers when they sing traditional sounding songs....great job guys!!
Great song...I can't believe how much George had to look at the telepromoter to remember the lyrics to one of his greatest hits. I guess he doesn't get to do this duet much. Joe did a great job and you could see he was a little nervous singing with one of his heroes.
