He is completely right when he says that you don't need evidence to support values. LD Debate is completely different from the others(PF, Parliament, etc) You don't need statistical evidence, data revealing evidence, or any other type. You need logic to battle the argument. Here's why--Data, statistics always change... the census in America is let's say 1,000,000,000 people.. only for this year.. next year, it may be 2,000,000 people..You see, it always changes, that's why it's good to use logic

Ugh.... the morality of the intent of an action does not determine the morality of said action. For example, Let's say you want to kill ALL criminals. The intent of your action is to rid the world of crime, but it's still not a moral action.

Then if you say "someone finds this moral, someone finds this moral" that's the same for any virtue. I don't find just the killing of two cows to feed one man, but some may.

they get a resolution for a month, research it, and come up with affirmative and negative arguments to it (e.g. the resolution for this month is "felons ought to have the right to vote")

4. Even though he has a value/standard, they make no sense. Morality is not a standard, a standard is supposed to be measurable.

5. I hope that it's not LD, because this is a disgrace to what LD is. LD is there to let us dig deep into the philosophy of the matter, to let us examine the topic from every possible angle.
