As patriotic as I am, I have extreme hatred for the U.S. governments irrationality. Criminalizing marijuana as well as other things that people have the right to choose for themselves is one of the most outrageous things I've ever heard of.

(613) 957-4222 That alone is a major help. We need thousands of Canadians and Americans to protest leading up to the extradition hearing, on November 5-8 this year.

Drug dealers won't ask your kid for I.D., and he sure won't mind trying to sell him/her other drugs at the same time. Why? Because it's all about profit and the dealer is out to make a dollar, not to protect or educate your kid. Children are lied to about marijuana, so they don't believe the warnings about harder drugs. That's how prohibition fails.

"What's the big deal," kids ask, "and why do they want to keep me away from it so badly?" So they smoke marijuana and realize they've been lied to. Authority fails to maintain a relationship of trust and cooperation.

Drugs should be a matter of public health, NOT the criminal justice system. The only reason cops have anything to do with it is because the RCMP was founded on alcohol prohibition, and when that ended they needed the newest "scary" thing to go after... lo and behold, "marihuana" was the "killer drug" in the USA and the Canadian police have been running with that ever since.

There are many other seed banks in Europe and Canada that sell to the United States, and there were even 3 other seed stores on the very same block as Marc Emery Seeds. Marc was not the first or biggest bank to sell seeds to the United States by mail. The difference between those seed sellers and Marc Emery is that Marc boldly announced he was using all the seed proceeds to end the drug war by financing anti-prohibition activities.

But Walters, and the White House he works for, were pissed off at Marc... and that's when the investigation began in the US, even though a Canadian court had earlier thrown out a Vancouver Police-led investigation and case because it had no merit.

Here in Canada the only place where Marijuana is anything more than a fad for gangster culture is in British Columbia. I was ashamed when on May 5th, the Global Marijuana March here in Ottawa switched locations from protesting on the Canadian Parliament grounds to protesting in a public park. They supposedly lacked a "license to protest" and feared police intervention. What a joke. Forty years ago the youth was willing to be beaten for their cause. Now we're afraid of being told to leave.

This is an international sovereignty-rights issue. It has ramifications for ANY nation that has dealings with the USA. Isn't that what he is doing? What he did is against the law even in Canada, but he would face a small fine here. What is at play here is the US government trying to have Canada extradite him so they can put him away for life. For what? Selling seeds? C'mon, anyone can figure that's silly.
