It's no wonder people always think this is a Weezer song. Matt Sharp (original bassist of Weezer and creator of the Rentals) always had that odd falsetto thing going on in the backing vocals. It's pretty much a trademark of early Weezer.

Yes its a Rentals song, but never made it onto the first album. It ended up only on a compilation made by Tom Grimley, the producer of the "Return" album and he's in the Friend of P video. He owned WIN records with Devin Sarno? and they put out alot of lo fi albums for L.A. bands. Grimley's studio was called poop alley and the complilation was called "The Poop Alley Tapes". Its rare and includes BECK and That Dog. Matt rewrote the lyrics for the 2nd album

and called it Barcelona. THE END

It's not off of Make Believe. It's not even Weezer. It's the Rentals which is Matt Sharp's band after he left. He was a huge part of early (and best) Weezer.
