  • It's not fake. Oxygen is missing from the fire tetrahedron. And once it is added, the backdraft can send u back 20 plus feet.

  • fake

  • thanks

its about time someone starts educating the public on backdrafts and flashovers. I run with ladder 17 company in P.A and we encountered a flashover at one of the fires, unfortunatly a fellow firefighter was standing at the window which flashed over lucky he was alright because it had his full turnout gear on

    but thanks for educating

  • That's cool, in a scary sort of way. At least nobody was inside that one, right?

  • Really scary try dcking really fast in heavy fire gear. you see that you get down.

  • lol tell u right now i wouldnt mind doing limbartys all day if i hadda duck these thats for sure...

they can seriously burn or even injure you crazy chit right there.

  • man imagine being on that jevy fire gear... seeing that wall of flames coming at you in slowmo... but your too slow...

  • One of the most scary parts of interior firefighting...BACKDRAFT!!!

  • Nothing like it

  • Wrong, the most scary part of interior firefighting is flashover. Big difference... pay attention in fire behavor class

  • Backdraft is pretty scary buddy.

  • All of it scary.

  • I'm only an Explorer but I think I can speak for all firefighters when I say that both a backdraft and a flashover will have anyone inside reaching for a change of pants!

  • Yeah that to. But isn't one of there fears are roof collapse.

  • flashover is a large fear ... then roof collapse , then back draft

  • And it says "One of the most scary parts of firefighting...BACKDRAFT!!!" not the most scary part of firefighting.

    Pay attention in English class!

  • English wasnt a problem in college... according the the cumm laude degree I earned from one of the best university systems in the country

  • yah, gotta go with flashover, if you are inside and survive a true flashover, not a rollover, then your life just turned horrible really quickly

  • true jlc 030 damm true b

  • backdraft:sudden rush fo O2 2 a fire

flashover:smoke and gasses reach ingition point and light

  • dont think so... the missing part of burning material, heat and O2 is O2. The first you do is testing the door for heat. then u open it and give some water in the room and close it again. On this way you can reduce a heat and without heat there is no flash over because 1 of the 3 components for fire misses after O2 is in the room again... the heat.

  • Amazing the will all the training aids available that Youtube has about the best range of backdraft visual aids a firefighter could want.

  • thats true , i am a fire fighter in england , its so cool to see the signs of back draught and get to recognise them.

  • not cool... just horrible and often deadly

  • Coooooooool

    ^^
