  • Nice

  • dude. this goes into my top 2 of most amazing drumming i've seen - together with mike glozier (also playing vsnares at watch?v=_oD3pbOBP50 ). good work, keep going!

  • this guy is really awesome

What are you taking to be so speed like that

    respect ^^

  • yeah man, that's awesome !!

  • awesome

i want to see that on a real battery

  • wow!

  • oh god you are...

  • fucking amazing !!!!! one of my fav songs and played so well !!!

  • You kinda remind me to Frost from Satyricon, amazing job dude, respect!

  • @shivayavoda thanks man thats a compliment for real!

  • Good lord I could listen to this and your other videos forever. I <3 my some songs featuring drums like this. Good shit, keep it up.

  • @Sarg338 hell yeah dude glad you love listening to em !

  • lulz, I tried this with my drum teacher. It's amazingly fun, although if you slow the song down you'll hear it's impossible to play it exactly as he programmed it. This is a sublime effort though, my favourite of your videos so far!

  • @bplus1plus1 youre definitely right! you dont even need to slow it down to know that its impossible to really play! but you can definitely play something that FEELS the same. venetian snares in an interview i read said something along the lines that he just tries to fill up everything with snare hits, so a R L R R L R L L paradiddle would become something like RlrLrlRllRlrLrlRlrLrrLrl or something like that!

  • @blooandwhite

Oh yer, sure you can. I did that, only the beginning though and not as complex as you do. But it's fun hitting the drums fast and succeeding. I can do the paradiddle, just not like a roll yet. At the moment I'm still on System of a Down songs, which are fun to drum to if you're at my level. I want to be able to play death metal as well as breakcore and stuff like Animals As Leaders. Damn that is some amazing stuff, best instrumental album I've heard yet.

  • @bplus1plus1 yeah right on man, AAL is definitely a sickkkkkkkkkkkkk band they got some awesome shit going on! i used to try and play stuff like deadwater drowning or the first red chord album but i didnt make it sound too great; the payoff was just in going as crazy as possible and losing yourself in a vortex of burning energy hahaha, itll never get old!

  • @blooandwhite

Definitely, you should check a vid by the genius behind it, Tosin something, playing guitar proper amazingly. Also I want to cover 'The veils of misconception' on drums by Disavowed. Not the greatest band, but there's a drum vid of Romain Goulon playing it on youtube. (in my favourites as well)

Snare sounds lovely in that vid, and I am addicted to that vid just as well as this vid of yours every now and then. It requires quite an amount of technical skill though, so play on I must

  • @bplus1plus1 tosin abasi! that guy is incredible, i love the stuff he rights. ill have to check out that vid! when i started playing drums i never told myself that anything wasnt possible, i always tried stuff that i knew was technically way out of my range. but humans being humans will adapt to anything so as long you are able to submit yourself to it for so long, im no different than anyone else, i just love what i do. rock on! :)

  • @blooandwhite

well.....I've picked up some Derek Roddy drum lessons now, to help improve my endurance and robot like style drumming skills! I'm nowhere near as energetic as you though, but I defo love watching energetic people having a go at anything. It's really inspiring for me! There are some ALL drum covers on the tube here I think, didn't seem THAT hard, the guitars are probably the hardest to do. Maybe I'll try that too, but drums is just way more fun. Hitting stuff for the win I says. :D

  • @bplus1plus1 i watched derek roddy's stuff, it definitely made a difference in my playing even though doing those exercises was incredibly boring. thomas lang's creative control is really awesome for ways of building up chops without being too boring. drums are win because you can put limitless energy into the motions of playing across a kit. its much larger than playing up and down a fretboard with 6 strings!

  • @blooandwhite

Strange thing is, it aint boring to me! After the first 4 minutes or so, I start to really enjoy it, especially the feet and hands + feet part. Is that Tomas Lang a DVD you bought? I don't think I've ever seen a lesson from him on the tube before. I will look!

Drums are a definite win indeed, I wanted to play them from when I was 11 years old, and now I finally got the chance. I just hope I can still find as much enjoyment in it in 10 years, something which failed with guitar. :-/

  • you must be an awesome jazz drummer

  • @bxlfr3 ill be joining the jazz ensemble at school next semester, we'll see what they think :)

  • this is sooo cool man, would love to hear your drum track on it's own though. If you get bored and fancy recording it, please do :D

  • @klimatix its usually pretty uninteresting; i try to avoid claiming that i can "play" these kinds of songs note for note because if you really listen to any of these tracks (VS in particular) theyre pretty impossible to play. as long as it mixes well together, imo :)

  • You've got some cool grooves. Word!

  • @urmok6iv gravy grooves all day son!

  • You are fucking my ears with your long penis of awesomeness.

  • i second the request for epidermis :D
