I've both seen the films and read the books and I still eat meat. Its delishious and natural to eat it. If you don't want to thats fine but if animals can eat meat why can't we? We're animals too. Now I'm gonna go back to eating my goats neck soup now...
Yeah, I definitely wouldn't eat meat in America. I'm very glad to live in Ireland and enjoy meat that has been produced on farms not factories, and to know farmers who care about their animals as it is their livelihood. I buy my meat from butchers, not supermarkets. Most butchers will be able to tell you the farm that the meat came from. I worked in a dairy company for a while too and milk was tested from every supplier every day to detect traces of antibiotics, and would be rejected if positive
(2/2)... I believe the same is true for meat. EU regulations and Irish regulations are much more strict on food quality and farming. I recently watched Food Inc. and was shocked by it. Also, vegan bacon freaks me out. That's almost worse that what I saw in the documentary. Weird! :)
I always thought the same thing about hot dogs/corn dogs. I love the way they taste, but the thought of them disgust me. Then I discovered the Morningstar corndogs! I am not a vegetarian, but I buy these instead of the normal yucky hot dogs, and they taste exactly the same if not better! (I also love substituting turkey meat for hamburger meat.)
I know you said you wouldn't explain bacon, and we could google it. But I did google it and didn't find anything that makes it more disgusting than any other meat? I dunno. You mentioned documentaries and stuff. Which ones in particular? Could you post links in the description?
I'm not really obsessed with bacon, I eat it ocassionaly because it tastes good. All meats in general are pretty gross if you think hard enough about where they come from, but you could also say the same thing about cheese which I don't really like very much at all. No matter what you eat it all comes out the same in the end.
Hm. I've never had morningstar bacon or bacon of anysort. I don't eat pork and my parents aren't fond of turkey bacon so we've never really had it in my family. Honestly, I don't really feel like I'm missing out.
I'm sorry, but morningstar tastes nothing like bacon. it may be gross to eat bacon, knowing how the animals are treated and I commend you, but it tastes nothing like bacon.
Just kidding but you know, fake bacon is just as good as real bacon really. Bacon is whatever to me, I could do without it for sure. I dun tink its coo
I like your bracelet! I have one just like it on right now! *shows* ^__^
Make another video asap :D
30 books wow that's going to be awesome! I wonder how many I'll read! Do all of the chronicles of narnia count as 7 books or just 1? haha I'm starting the 3rd right now! :O
I don't actually like bacon that much. The taste usually doesn't appeal to me. I can think of only once a year where I actually eat it and that's when my mom makes this huge Christmas breakfast. Something about that breakfast makes me eat a slice or two during the meal.
I don't eat a lot of meat, mainly because I don't like it much, though. I like chicken, pepperoni on my pizza, and ham, but that's about it. I would go vegetarian, but I need to work on eating more vegetables before that.
@ZoraMalfoy Fair enough. And yeah, I suppose it's better to ease into it when it comes to getting used to eating more vegetables. Honestly, I need to start eating a lot more vegetables, and I've been a vegetarian for 5 years. The name is deceiving - just because someone is a vegetarian doesn't mean they eat a lot of vegetables!
I have absolutely no idea why bacon has become so cool (but it really is everywhere in the nerd community), but I can say that I have never eaten bacon before in my life, so I really don't know what the fuss is about :P
im a veg too, and really the taste of bacon isn't worth how gross it is. same with most meat. but that kind of logic is why i'm a veg. btw, i have that ikea desk too.
My thoughts exactly - I'm pretty recently vegetarian (I'm been trying for about a year but it gets hard when you live at home, can't really cook and your mum thinks that you should eat meat, but this year I've decided to properly commit myself to it).
@TonksftMemories I promise it's easy after a while! It's always difficult at first. I hear a lot of friends say the same thing, and I remember when I first went veg. I gained a lot of weight at first because I didn't know how to eat. It's just second-nature now. No thought involved!
I've read books and seen documentaries and I still like meat just fine. IN general I think bacon is okay but like super unhealthy so it;s a bit unnerving when it's on everything. And the taste is so strong that it always over powers what ever it's put on. I think bacon just got popular is a "all of the things" kind of way. In which people like bacon so.. it must make everything better? I don't know. I keep it to the occasional breakfast. cheer, sam!
@STHayden It's more than just meat. Like, I don't necessarily shun meat-eating. The way animals are factory farmed and drugged and all that... THAT is why I'm so disgusted by meat. I don't know how we haven't all died yet.
@ISnoggedHarry yeah. and all those drug are definitely not super healthy for people. Even the growth hormones that is milk do some bad stuff to our bodies. I'm happy there is movement to make the process better. For me, at the end of the day, it tastes good and so I eat it. I figure I'm a lot healthier then my parents. Food was really messed back then as well. thanks for keeping me honest!
@wiffleclaw School definitely makes it difficult. I wasn't in school all year, so I don't even have the excuse. That's a GREAT goal, actually. Just read every day. I like that.
yeah i don't know what's wrong with me... i've actually seen documentaries on it and it is quite sickening how they get it but every big breakfast i have... there it is. the glorious bacon.
I am so glad that you finally said out loud what I have been thinking for years. I DON'T EVEN LIKE BACON, and it is CERTAINLY not as good as a lot of other things, sushi for example. You, are the bomb.com
Bacon goes with almost everything. Bacon goes on Pizza too lol. Sure, it may be gross when you get down to it, but It tastes really good.

Oh and bacon pizza is wonderful. A meeting of two glorious foods into one hedonistic experience of delight.
