You do realize the problem the Prius was having was a computer glitch that prevented it from changing gear, braking, & shutting down while the accelerator was stuck? This is the problem with "drive by wire" systems, if the computer fucks up everything is fucked. The 2010 Prius doesn't have this glitch.

The brakes on a non hybrid car use the vacuum caused when you shut the throttle to operate the power assistence on the brakes - because the Prius can operate without the engine running, the brakes are operated by an electically powered servo, and therefore cannot loose braking power due to no engine vacuum (stuck open throttle) - that 'runaway' Prius is definately a scam!

I don't drive one of these cars however, I have not ever saw a sign anywhere placed along any road way other than in Germany where it states there is a fast lane. Here in the United States there is NO place or sign that states fast lane. Oh, try going to the state Texas and drive in the Left lane. You want last long. Left lane is for passing only and it is enforced . So, with that said I find this to be promoting violence and road rage. This video should be flagged.

@bohemiachris prius had a brake problem, a cruise control problem, and a ( sua )sudden unintended acceleration problem, tundra had frames rusting in half and (sua), corolla has electric steering problems, many many toyotas had the engine oil sludge problem and people got royal screwed, sienna had the ball joint problem and rust problem, god im not gonna keep typing all this - toyota quality is shit, there built in America by workers making less than 1/2 union wage so what do you expect

I love this video lol! Lots of people bitch about how it doesnt make sense to buy the prius because of how much fuel we burn mining for the nickel in the batteries and so on... well guess what..... that doesnt really matter for when your paying $4.00+ at the pump now does it?!?!? The brakes on a non hybrid car use the vacuum caused when you shut the throttle to operate the power assistence on the brakes - because the Prius can operate without the engine running, the brakes are operated by an electically powered servo, and therefore cannot loose braking power due to no engine vacuum (stuck open throttle) - that 'runaway' Prius is definately a scam!
