  • Is that a common thing to happen?

  • @langtangticky Yes it is common, but only at nesting time

  • oh how i hate them with a passion i had same thing happen to me with more agression

  • @adamanime2 Some can be more agressive than others

  • @DownUnderDoug very true just never know

  • ok I have got to ask... why is the little bastard attacking you... its over and over... here they don't like people

  • @sunsetlover It is nesting time and they attack anyone who comes near, I had one attack me again today.

  • they can hurt when they hit

  • @geckos57 I can't remember ever being hit by one, but I reckon they would hurt

  • They are little buggers. Some cable ties around the slots at the top placed so they stick up can help in stopping most of them. Worth a try perhaps.

  • @ThatsMySay Thanks, yes another user wrote about putting cable ties on a helmet

  • i hate those little buggers

  • @TheWestAussie I like the call, but not their attacks

  • @golfernky They have an unusual call, but when it is nesting time they are very defencive.

  • LOL. @ cheekychickenhead!

  • Magpies are the gangsters of the skies. I sometimes feed the ones in my back yard keeping them on my side so they don't feel like taking out one of my eyes. They are such beautiful birds with a lovely warble. They really were after you mate all these kids doing stupid things like planking and owling etc really should try magpieing if they want a thrill.

  • @cheekychickenhead Hahaha, "magpieing" that would be funny. I like their call too "warble". I have fed them meat out of my hand.

  • Hhahahaha thats one hard core Magpie Bro H&R

  • @DibbersPage Yeah they get very defencive around nesting time

  • You can wear a bug zapper on you head and give them a shock!! Hahaha

  • Wow Doug! Great video Bro! Something like this can go viral!

  • @MrToothycritter It is a bit short

  • LOL!!!! this is so funny! i hate those buggers im always trying to pedal as fast as i can away from them lol.

  • @dedicated2mma Maybe you could try putting a pair of sunnies on the back of your helmet because they don't usualy attack when you are looking at them.

  • @patches4patches I hope I didn't hassel it too much by making a 2nd and a 3rd pass to get the footage

  • Evening, ha ha ha. that is your best video so far. loved it. Byeee

  • @grottyyachty1 Thanks, wish i had the camcorder. You would know all about them being a postie for a while.

  • Magpies scare the shit outta me!! Narky bastards!!

    xoxoxo

  • @MsBurpy They can certainly give you a suprise

  • HAhahaha! I used to carry a Mop above my head as I walked up and down the Jetty, when I had the Cruiser, the Seagulls used to give me buggery at nesting time! The maggies up here love me,never a problem,Cheer's Mate!

  • @Wallabytrack The ones on your place probably know you and don't see you as a threat. This one was right on a cycleway.

  • Feisty buggers aren;t they ? What you can try is getting a few cable ties and putting them on your helmet so they stick up.. they wont hurt the bird and it tends to frighten them off.

  • @AtheistAussie Yeah thats a good idea, I've heard of people wearing something on their head with eyes painted on because they don't generaly attack while being watched.

  • Watch your ears Doug :)

  • @davesact They come very close aye.

  • love it Doug thats a classic you funny bugger :)

  • @oldsalty65 Thanks mate

  • Haha nice one mate!

  • @brindabellaoffroad Thanks, wish I had the camcorder

  • I would be wearing a spikey helmet to make sure the fucker didn't swoop again...LOL

  • @EndlessGrind78 Yeah not a bad idea, also if you keep looking at them they don't attack.

  • What does magpie taste like? It was pissed at something.

  • @yllekr123 Don't know mate, haven't eaten them. It is breeding time and they are protecting there nests, we get used to them.

  • He seems to be a bit grumpy about something! lol.

  • @TheMinisterofDefence It is breeding time and they are protecting there nests, we get used to them.

  • @DownUnderDoug yep, I remember getting swiped at by a few of them, when I was 'down under'. I really like them though, we don't have them where I live, and i love birds for the most part.
