are these music composers like pritam, shantanu moitera from calcutta copycats??? it was okay till annu malik who never has produced his own music but wht abt these two... work hard guys don't just copy.. this one is beautiful composition but shouldn't have copied in hindi it is a shame...
"Evergreen"... "Munna Bhai"... Did I land on a Bollywood film clip?!?! lol. Sorry, guys. I'm not even Indian, but Cliff has nothing on Lata and Rafi! Let the Bollywood composers steal all the forgotten western pop-songs they want. The more traditional Hindi songs are always better, anyway.
I am an Indian and am ashamed of the composer in hindi because he not only ripped off the song but did not even have the basic courtesy to acknowledge original composer.
An evergreen master piece song by Cliff Richard .This glorious song was released in 1957. Stolen in Munna Bhai -2,e afer almost 50 years approx, thinking no one will evrer guess that CHORI. Seen and heard Dev Anands JEWEL THIEF, but many people may not be knowing SONG THIEF. ASHOKE SHOME.
Plagiarism is a form of flattery. I wouldn't have even known about this song had Munna Bhai not copied it. I like both versions. Relax everyone and just enjoy the damn music
QUE HERMOSA CANCION, DE VERAS ME HUBIERA GUSTADO VIVIR ESA EPOCA, EL ROMANTICISMO PURO, INOCENTE SE REFLEJA EN SUS LETRAS, HASTA LAS CANCIONES DE BROMAS O REFERIDAS A CARROS, COSAS, ETC, A MI ME ENCANTAN, ¡¡¡GRACIAS POR COMPARTIRLAS!!! EXCELENTE
A couple of years ago, a Hindi version appeared in the movie "Lage Raho Munna Bhai". An inspired plagarism with some beautiful percussion. Listen to how the drums have been discarded in favour of soft violin pizzicato! Also the husky emotional voice of the singer. Search for "pal pal har pal" song to listen to this beautiful adaptation.
There is a great cover too, by French early sixties band "Les Chats Sauvages" translated as " c'est pas serieux" (it's not serious). They had a unique sound.
Cliff Richard was and still is second to nobody. I've been a fan since the 50's and still am. Cliff; like most kids in the UK and all over the world admired Elvis, and of course imitated him. However he developed his own style and has remained a rock and roll idol to this day.
"I didn't even know Bobby Vee recorded this song. This is Harry Webb 1960. Bobby Vee was "Happy Balls' 1962. But then I am a Brit... When it pleases me!"
Bobby Vee was an excellent singer and his version of this song is very good. Cliff's version is better. I don't know why Cliff wasn't popular in the U.S. His 1950s and 1960s songs were better than most American songs of that time.
Now this is music!Unlike the crap you hear today. Anybody know of ant good singers like this guy. I like sam cooke for example. You know artists of this caliber.
Annu Malik y are perfect ass hole how dare y copy Sir Cliff Richards lyrics for your son pal pal har pal just forget a ass hole like y can never stand by sir
my dad says the same, he will never forgive the beatles for that, and he probably will never forgive America for embracing the new 'british' sound that was emerging!!! in fact, i dont think he has liked a song ever since then, which i find a bit too much to take!! was it really that bad?
Its a saga of CHori with Indian Musicians. FRom Laxmi Pyare to Annu Malik and From RD Burman to Bhappi Da all liberally picked tunes from elvis, michael, frank sinatra without giving any credit to original. So next time when u listen any good song it might be possible that its a chori... Don't let you heart break for these small things. there are larger ones in wolrd for that. any way hermoine is my favorite charecter in HP.
There is a Hindi movie, with this song in one of their scenes, but obviously the language was changed to hindi and it was an indian lady singing the hindi version.
That tiel for that song is Pal pal Har Pal, Munna bhai 2. Iti s in youtube.
I prefer Cliff's version too much, to bother about the other one. I only know of the hindi version because I was watching the show with my Hindi mum and it came on, just in hindi though.
very true .. I heard this original version long back from my dads collection and then later when i heard the pal pal one , I recognised it was taken from this
@Cliffieshoney The Hindi version is a blatant copy/lift of this masterpiece. Bollywood has nothing original to offer and I'm an Indian before people start criticising my views...
This is when Cliff started to change from a rocker into all round entertainer at about the same time as Tommy Steele and Elvis. The record producers and TV producers didn't think Rock n Roll would last. How wrong could they be!!!
the 1959-1963 period due to scandals of Jerry Lee Lewis and the death of Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran appeared that way. But I think that period had better variety like jazz, blues, R&B, classical, and so on. Of course, the Beatles came and rock n'roll stayed.
