Thanks for your comment. If you give it time, you will habituate to the sound and it will be soothing. Many do not get driven nuts at all. Thanks again! Sweet dreams......Dr. Nancy
Absolutely. All round good balanced health practices allow natural deep sleep. It is really unnatural to have insomnia.....so if you cant' sleep, you want to see an MD and get a panel of hormones and/or vitamins/minerals drawn and see what is missing for you, work out, release stress, and allow your nautral sleep rhythm to return.
sometimes sleep disturbance is caused by lack of nutrition ie iron , b vitamin and vit D deficiency's and other vitamins so would suggest trying a good high dose multi vitamin or b-complex and iron but remember to take it in the morning hours away from sleep.
i have ALWAYS had vitamin deficiency and particularly vitamin D + B3 ,folic acid causes insomnia
What does that mean: "...combating tiny factors in sleep disorders?" Please be more specific. And I believe that your problem IS so bad that you need to take medication for it. If you are failing to sleep thru the night at age 16, please contact your MD immediately and get help. Why would you consider morphine if you would not consider Lunesta? It coudl be temporary until you get balanced again. Please seek help for this issue and let me know what ensues. Good luck to you!!!!
I have a serious chronic insomnia problem, im 16 and i havnt slept more than 6 hours per night for 3 years, its gotten even worse i hardly sleep 4 hours per night and now I've started to awake during the night. I've tried looking for natural solutions, but they all seem to be combating tiny factors in sleep disorders. I will not take pills unless this problems gets so bad that need to commit a painless morphined induced suicide. I occainsionally fail to sleep through a whole night. Thankyou
Not necessarily. Most adults know to empty their bladders before retiring. And if one does need to attend to that again in the middle of the night, he/she can go right back to sleep with the sound of running water. It does not ALWAYS make you want to pee! Do you have an uncontrollable urge to pee when you walk along the beach shore? Or dine on the water? No.....that is a common fear. Thanks for your interest! Dr. Nancy

and exercise is VERY important because it will tire you enough during the day so you will sleep better when night arrives
