  • This is a great video. Congratulations to this young man and his family. This prank is so cool that I may try to do the same to my own son.

  • I'am exmormon and happy now

  • @woodcchuck2020 lol. goodluck to you lost one

  • that's cute

  • It's not cool to be so bummed about where you are called to serve. He's upset about going to Montana and overjoyed to be going to the Philippines. Someone should tell him it's not meant to be a vacation. Maybe they should tell those who setup the prank as well. If you are going for the wrong reasons you should just stay home.

  • HAHAHA oh you guys are SO SO mean! But that's very funny still :D

  • ha awesome! lol

  • lol i knew it was fake as soon as i saw the envelope it was in. the actual ones are quite a bit bigger =P

  • ahahahahahha Funny :P

  • That was awesome... although I thought he was gonna get up and hurt somebody...

  • tagalog--the Philipine language!!! Pronounced tuh-gall-oh. l0l. i laughed when he sed it cus that how me and my friends sed it. I loved this prank, u did a gud job.

  • what a good sport! i hope you're having a great mission and that the Lord is blessing you with success in the work, as well as with good health and complete safety. let's hear about your mission when you get home. you're in my prayers!

  • HEY bRO. WHY THE DIFFERENT REACCION WHEN YOU KNEW ABOUT THE SPANISH AREA AND PHILIPINO'S. MMM!!! ????? SPANISH RULES!

  • Thank you for sharing this special moment, congratulations. I remember what it was like for me when got my call to the Australia Perth Mission in October 1982. Remember you are serving the Lord in the greatest work you could be doing in your young life. A scripture D&C 4:4, Jacob 5:71-72.

  • haha, if ever he'd get to be assigned in jaro, iloilo. i would remind him about this instance..haha can't believe he thought all the while that he's opening the real call..really funny!

  • Poorly constructed prank. Amazing that he fell for it...

  • I thought it was well done :D haha it was good

  • it was funny. hahahaha............

  • lol

  • This is pretty funny, hahahahaha.

  • Does this Kid know himself what he will be teaching for two years?

Our ward sent out missionaries who were busy playing with their mobile phones throughout sacrament and EQ. They didn't have a CLUE about Mormonism.

  • I am pretty sure because in the singles ward he took a prep. class

  • true but remember what happened on the Logan temple trip im not so sure lol and i can say that believe me lol

  • I knew the first call was FAKe.. lol.. The envelope was really small compared to EVERY mission call I have seen including mine...

AND, they never start out with BROTHER.. It is either ELDER or SISTER....

  • omgosh! when i saw the unbrella, i was like, i bet its in the philippines. and im like, whoa! i knew it.. lol

    where in the philippines anyway?

    goodluck elder.....

  • Thats so awesome that you are going on one mitch.Good luck!!

    Rylee

  • hey mitch congrats!! best of luck in the philippines!!

  • Good luck. Their member retention rate is horrible.

A past mission president from the Philippines gave a speech at BYU where he said out of 49,000 baptisms, after two years there was only 1,000 active members.

Oh and avoid the girls who say, "love you long time"

  • Congratulations Mitch I don't know you but I wanted to tell you my brother served in that same mission and my husband went to the the Phililippines as well. Have a wonderful two years! And watch out for John the Baptist day! Rachel

  • Hahaha, this is hilarious.

  • Fun video!

I have a question... (as a non Mormon)

Is anyone ever called to serve close to home?

And if so, can you go home or live there while serving?

  • Yeah, people are sometimes called close to home, a friend of mine got called in the next state over, in a city about 3 hours from here. But they wont go home or live at home while while on their mission.

  • Thanks for answering my question. :-)

  • I have a cuz. who has sertin medical prob. so he is going to go on a mission at the temple or humanitarian aid, so he can be at home just in case there is a medical emergancie and because he has autism :D

  • That's rich. Ima do that to my brother!!!

  • Lucky you Mitch! I have a ton of advice for you as Bill served in the Phillipines. (Hint, you will need that umbrella)

  • Nice Mitch! It will be the best two years of your life.

    -Cory
