Brilliant video. I remember going to a Baptist church shortly after the Da Vinci Code became popular and it dedicated the whole service to criticising the books and maintaining the total validity and accuracy of the Bible.
The whole service was unconvincing.

I am speaking as a member of a Christian monastic community praying three times a day using forms and words over a thousand years old. The Bible tells me that wherever I go to speak of Jesus, he has already been there before me. When you say "true" Christianity, do you mean Jesus' inner teachings or one of the many versions of "true" Christianity that humans have come up with?
It does make sense, but in order to have a relationship with Christ, you need to raise your consciousness beyond the ego level.
I too have a living, breathing relationship with Jesus and one thing I have realized is that if you try to put Christ in ANY box, you have lost him right there.
The point I am making in the video is that the Catholic Church created a man-made image of Jesus in order to control the Roman population. That is why they portrayed him as the all-powerful savior who will do it all for us—if only we are good Christians, which means obeying the church. 1) Traditionally (and personally) I think that because they are not culpable of any sin (besides original sin) that they would likely be granted mercy and be with God.

Most everything Jesus spoke of can be found in the ancient mysteries... before christianity was spread through lies, fear, murder and the like.
I know many like to believe in the bible, and if it helps you be a 'better' person...okay.
but that book alone will not set you free or get you to any 'heaven' as it was not meant to do. It is a guide that you must study within the words and find YOUR meaning

Much more plausible is that Kim Michaels IS channeling ~ as to whether it is Jesus? ~ the individual has to decide. Do check out also 'A Course in Miracles' and (an easier read) the books of Paul Ferrini.
Could Christ Jesus speak through these people? I don't see why not.

.......but is based on a real human being called Yehoshuah Bin Yusef ~ in English ~ Joshua the son of Joseph. Can you not imagine that the God who inspired the (once) "New" Testament can inspire writers of today? ~ check out Neale Donald Walsh. If God could raise up an Ezekiel or a Micah, He can surely prompt a Kim Michaels.
If you go to askrealjesus and read on all the topics covered, it's too fantastic to imagine that Kim Michaels is making all that stuff up.

It is an equal gift that we all share Some have learned to tap into it, some have not yet done so. I'm not just a New Ager; I'm a spiritualist.
That last line in bold, beginning: "BUT THERE..." ~ I was maybe being facetious!
We spiritists/spiritualists/"whatever!", we often follow 'Spirit Guides' {which Born-Again Christians say are DEMONS ~ and they could be right!}.
Thus, I can think of 'God' as Walsh's spirit guide, and 'Jesus' as Michaels' spirit guide and not be INTIMIDATED by SUCH Big Names {freewill}

From what I gathered form Michaels website it rings true. Of course the messages we recieve from guides/angels/acendant masters/God, are not the exact teachings of that messanger/spiritual teacher. Our consciouness will filter through the messages we recieve. It alsmost ascting like a satailte dish harnessing a signal. or more to the point, a vibration.

also id like to add something which may ring truth to you as it does me, or it may not.
We have an inner knowing that everything is vibration. When I lower vibration connects or gives us messages. If your like me & can sense vibration in frequency then it apears as it is. A low vibration. But, as for Demons (low vibration) go. If a demon was to trick us into thinking it was of a higher vibration. so we would think our messages/ teachings where for the highest good of all .....

.... it would have to raise its vibration, so it could show that it is of highest vibration. But that which is not cant not be. universal laws. If a demon took form as higher vibration. it would have to become that vibration. in other words. It would be what it is. See again, someones consciouness can filter an illusion through. With respect Hugh, you seem to have resolved the conflict between different teachings by believing that God and Jesus can represent different truths. However, Jesus is an Ascended Master - so how can his truth be out of alignment with God?
I understand where you are coming from in that I followed the teachings of the CWG books for nearly a decade. However, there is a fundamental flaw in Neale's books -

Well as I said to kazb25, 'Jesus' makes some interesting observations about Neale Donald Walsh at askrealjesus. I don't follow any particular channel, but find it safer and healthier to read many channelled teachings ~ I tend to trust the concensus which precipitates.
No 'Ascended Master' can express anything like all of the wisdom that flows from the Godhead. Equating Yehoshuah with God has been a grave error.

I am not at all clear myself where the ego fits into all things.
All I have is the teaching of Spirit Guides who say that attempts to 'kill' the ego or destroy the ego are misguided, but that the problem is that ego is master when it should be servant.
That may be a view you can agree with; maybe not.
I can easily imagine there are flaws in Neale's books. My slight problem is that when someone says they are channeling 'God' (he's not the first) disagreeing is hard

there is no proof jesus actually existed or said what he was supposed to have said is there? Jesus never penned a word to my knowledge. I am not saying Jesus did not exist. As far as a new Christ being a person, I don't believe that is needed. The Christ energy can be found in everyone--of course, some have no clue. "new age" religions are still religions which have no purpose in my life; however, words of wisdom, and what I find to be truths come forth from far beyond written words

~ I was conflicted greatly after I read what it said about The Aquarian Gospel on Kim's website, but I remembered the Jesus of the New Testament -- which most people think of as the REALLY REAL Jesus, saying -- according to John 14.28 KJV, that "my father is greater than I" -- so I asked The Father, and God told me, "Hugh, it's okay to disagree with 'Jesus'."
I emailed Kim with a beautiful appraisal of The Aquarian Gospel, and not only did Kim not reply -- he blocked any more email!

The 'virgin birth' scam has been used by the Dark Forces several times, always with the same purpose: to push a wedge between the teacher and the students. Annoyingly, that lie has always been successful. Now, Kim on his website askrealjesus asks 'Jesus' about 'The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus Christ' (as Kim miscalls it) and what 'Jesus' says about that book, anyone should take on board.
Despite what 'Jesus' says, I continue to value and use 'The Aquarian Gospel'.

nursewriter ~ we are in a New Age and a new assessment will be made of the Christ of the outgoing Age of Pisces. That's just what happens. Kim is right: Jesus HAS TO BE separated from Christianity. Then comes the long, hard quest to separate the biblical Jesus from the historical Jesus. I recommend 'The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ' to get a fuller understanding of the Lord's actual teachings. He is a Great Teacher to follow -- not a Demi-God to worship!

I am speaking as a member of a Christian monastic community praying three times a day using forms and words over a thousand years old. The Bible tells me that wherever I go to speak of Jesus, he has already been there before me. I pray that I never allow my ego to persuade me that I belong to a special club called 'Christianity' and that those who do not know it's rules and language cannot know Jesus.

It does make sense, but in order to have a relationship with Christ, you need to raise your consciousness beyond the ego level.
I too have a living, breathing relationship with Jesus and one thing I have realized is that if you try to put Christ in ANY box, you have lost him right there.

The point I am making in the video is that the Catholic Church created a man-made image of Jesus in order to control the Roman population. That is why they portrayed him as the all-powerful savior who will do it all for us—if only we are good Christians, which means obeying the church. Jesus did not portray himself that way and did say we shall do the works that he did. He also gave the parable about the wedding garment, which I see as the Christ consciousness.

2. You talk about how nothing we can do in the material universe can affect who we truely are, well what about those who live their lives doing evil? I'm not talking about sins I'm talking about REAL evil. What happens to them?

1) Traditionally (and personally) I think that because they are not culpable of any sin (besides original sin) that they would likely be granted mercy and be with God.
2) Who we are are human beings created in the image and likeness of God... not even evil affects the way in which we were created.
