6024 has had firebox repairs made at Williton on the West Somerset Railway, has run and should be back on the main line soon.

Thanks Bob. The Castles performance last week was a credit to the crew, but it would be great if the King was allowed a 2nd attempt over Shap.

Yes, hand picked, every lump! I don't think GWR engines would get very far on that brown gubbins the Chinese used to throw into the fireboxes of the QJs!!
