i really like this review i think its true and i certainly agree with the emotion. the only time i felt really emotional was at the end of the movie. Also i felt kind of scared in the cinema when silver spectre 1 was nearly raped by the comedian. The blows were harsh to her face and body. But overall, i agree. I enjoyed this movie but it wasnt the best i mean come on. x

I am usually very critical of Superhero type films, but I think in some aspects you are just a little over critical on your review. I may not have been the best superhero movie ever made, but it was much better than most of the Batmans and definitely better than either Hulk movie.

There were some scene sthat could have been deleted but I think it will be better integrated on the unrated DVD when released. Overall I would give the film an 8.5 out of 10.

However, i do not think it should be seen by young kids due to nudity / sex scenes, and the few gore scenes inbetween.

Of course you also do not want to want to spend the entire film attempting to explain who Nixon was, why they claim we won Vietnam, or what the Clock images mean (something many adults do not understand as I discovered.)

That are my only gripes about the story.

Overall though very entertaining. A better graphic novel than Sin City, Spirit, etc.

Also the sex scene is neccessary on the grounds that in the comic Dr Manahatton finds out that they are sleeping together which tears another threat between him and humanity and thus he goes to mars allowing pyramid transnational to complete their plan. and may i point out that it wasnt the director letting you down about the story and such, he took from the comic ... alan moore himself said that it was the best screenplay that couldve been written for the movie adaptation ... really, go read it

Oh my god, have you even read the comic book? and as to who silk spectres father is is important to the movie you fool, because Dr manhatton knows this and she doesnt which is part of what builds a tension between them.

Im a fan of the book...and I loved the movie. This is a great review for the general audience. It definitely takes a couple of viewings to grasp this style of super hero movie.

It's good that you still give it a 7/10. for most people it's either a 10/10 or 2/10. nothing in the middle. its good that you recognize elements to the film that make it great for some people.

I liked the review very well. Actually, one of the best and honest I have heard of the film. Im a Watchmen die-hard so I just want to clarify two things

1.Comedian is the Silk Spectre's father: It was needed to show that people with to complete moral compasses who seek justice are actually the closest people to each other. Also it was meant to add to the Comedian Character.

2. Blue Penis: He had in the comic more often but was done to a minimum in the film

You do realize the entire reason dr manhattan comes back is because he finds out about comedian being the dad. It sparks his interest in humanity again on how something so great can come from such an awful situation.

What I was referring to was information that didn't make a difference. If for example we found out Rorschach was from Chicago, would it have made an impact? No. That's what I'm referring to. And so you know I review films for a newspaper.

great review i didnt listen after the "spoiler" but i heard the ending i would have guessed a 7 out of 10 too. im not a watchman novel fan but im going to watch it and see how i like it, great review thanx fo uploading
