@dakotamanomgwtf Come on, you guys over there have so much more concerts than we do... Plus if the european tour goes well, I'm pretty sure PW will then tour its home turf. They have a new album coming out, and I can't see them not tour to promote it in the US ;)
@Spacedisciple Yeah true we get alot of concerts haha but it actually seems many of my favorite bands tour in Europe more than here but whatever I'm not complaining. Wait, they actually do have a new album coming out??
@dakotamanomgwtf They do ; the original line-up didn't just reunite for the tour. Actually the album may already be already be done, as far as I know... Last time I checked, something like 5-6 songs were almost completed.
So yeah, they're back. I only hope the new material will live up to our expectations !
@TheMinos21 i know.i said the same thing years ago and this little bitch tried to have me removed .retarted images right?anyway,we all love the music,so its all good.
God I love Psychotic Waltz....it always takes me back to high school at El Cajon Valley High...living at the royal motor inn on 2nd street and oakdale and hitting blue meanies after school....what a great time for music......I could listen to A social Grace over and over and over and over....I wish i could find a copy of it.
Our band Distant Thunder (I know, the name sucks :D) were playing at that time as well. but we all admired PW and loved going to their shows. Mike's artwork was awesome, loved the backdrops for their shows. I remember Espionage, Heh :) . ok who else is here?
Studio421 what band were you in? San Diego Metal 80's and 90's..... Ahhhh what a wonderful metal period and bands lost in time that history will never know. The only ones who know what went down in San Diego was the guys and girls who were there, waching the bands and playing on the stages.
i remember playing Rio's too... man you must be old school SD metal like I am.. too many bands never made it but should have. Straight Ahead sound and others were the hub of activity when I was a kidlet in the 80's
I also saw them life in South Germany, town: Tuttlingen (club: Akzente) and town Ludwigsburg (club: Rockfabrik) . . . maybe 15 till 20 Years ago. I didnt come for psychotic waltz, but after it i never forgot . . . i haven´t expexted so much psychotic waltz fans here . . . cool . . . . we are still alive, hahahaha!
This is great music. For years, I lived across the street where the drummer ran BlueMeanie record shop, I spoke to him many times and I did not even know that he played in the band. But there was always this smile present when I bought Psychotic Waltz. Only later I found he played drums. Really cool guy...and cool music.
i saw em live when i was like 9 and 10 a couple times in san diego . where they are from . hell the drummer sometimes kicks it at the bar i go to every once in awhile
been a PW fan since 92 / 9 and its still my favo band ... i do tho.. only considder the 2 first albums to be REAL PW bleeding is ok but mosquito sux :(
but lovely some1 finnaly put some PW songs in here
no1 will ever make songs as PW did on first 2 albums sadly !!
and yes this is the most underrated band in history, and no i dont think that the world will ever realize that but i know some ppl will and happy for them.
i know from dvd is some live but i cant put em in here.. :(
i got into them when i was like 9 or 10 years old hahaha the perks of having an older brother ..... i saw them live twice ..... in san diego of course
Darkstar is a sideproject by Dan Rock. I have that record - with Marching into Oblivion. However, I'm not too sure it has much to do with Psychotic Waltz, but rather only Dan Rock.
Yes, I know the record very well since I owned the original back in 1998. I liked that experiment, even though it wasn't exactly PW thing. Since PW always were & always will be unique, I really wouldn't like Darkstar if it was just the instrumental version of it. However, Darkstar (or Dan Rock, if you will) still kept a good part of the "PW DNA", which made it so interesting to me.
But one week ago, I got the burned copy of the original from a PW die-hard fan from Denmark, so I have it again:)
I was supposed to see them live on their last European tour (for Bleeding)in our capitol, but they canceled the concert on a really short notice (actually on the same day when they were supposed to perform).:(
Oh, that sucks. I'm far from old enough anyways to having had a chance to see them live, however I do consider myself a somewhat diehard fan of theirs. Generally a progmetal fan also. PW had something special about them. Buddy will be performing with Deadsoul Tribe at a danish Prog festival in November by the way. Alongside other great bands.
hey the guitarist for this band i know him he is my guitar teacher he told me that they are getting back together but they are having a hard time because the singer lives in austria i dont really know if its anything serious but they are getting back together =)
These guys were way underrated. I remember when they were called "Aslan". They played a local battle of the bands here in the Imperial Valley and they put on a hell of a show. They will be missed.
This is definetely the best metal debut of all times along with watchtower's energetic disassembly and warlord's and the cannons.....

Awesome music. Very complex (2 first albums). A pity they had to split up. Did it in real american style : Sucked dry by way of lawsuit.
Well considering the last two albums. Maybe it was better that way.
Either they got F'ed by their new producer or they simply ran out of steam... Who knows - i just appreciate the wonderful chaotic style.

I'm one the PW die-hard fans, as well!:)
Do you maybe have a first record from their project, called Darkstar - Marching into oblivion?
That's one of my favorite records ever and still not in my possesion.:(
If you guys have any links to a torrent to download or anything at all, I'd be really grateful.
