  • This movie only for dauns and sick ppl's,all go fuck yourself noobs! Suck dicks and lick ass! Stupid unnormal ppl's!

  • omg! why do i always get sucket into watching dupid shit see my i.q. points just dropt ......i bet these ass holes are rich some how too

  • While we may not agree with the faithfulness or accuracy of this piece, lets not be TOO judgmental. For whatever shortcomings it has, they put a lot of heart, time, and tears into this.

  • What is severely wrong with this, is that the voice of the narrator sounds like that of someone who has been immersed in lovecraftian mythos rather than a traveller lost in a new and unfamiliar world - which is the flavour of the original story. very poorly researched and even more poorly considered and executed. I don't care if it is 'ART'; some art is crap - as exemplified here.

  • Hey -- back off critics -- this is art, & it is certainly eldritch. But why are they reading not from Lovecraft but from "The House on the Borderland" by William Hope Hodgson??? Queer indeed!

  • this has illuminati symbolism ALL OVER it

  • who is the vocalist??? the number one fan of klaus nomi????

  • I heard that it follows the plot of "The Rats in the Walls", its only called "Mountains of Madness."

  • fuckin booshit homes

  • Lovecraft would weep to see this travesty..

  • Dont disgrace HPLC! It is absolute trash!

  • Lovecraft is one word, so it's HPL not HPLC.

  • I've just read Mountains of Madness, and I'm sure that's not what he's reading...

  • the noise (by Hacke) and spoken word (Lovecraft's story) is good, but the fruity folk music is ridiculous.

  • Agreed, it's great that the Tiger Lillies are into Lovecraft but their music just doesn't fit the piece at all.

  • I wouldn't say that the music doesn't fit. It's entiteld "Mountaines of Madness". And the first song, along with their appearence is pretty twisted...

  • I think it's hard to produce a good horror movie based off the cthulu mythos. Because Lovecraft left alot of what happend in his stories up to the reader to imagine, he hinted at stuff, and you had to fill in the blanks.

  • Which is why the HPLHS movie is so brilliant.

  • @AliveStorm93 And why Del Toro is so brilliant too. He's planning on making a Mountains of Madness film!

  • Ah, to be honest, this is pretty good, but there was quite a bit of... cherry picking involved in making this... those are easily the best bits of the entire production up there.

    Still, worth seeing, yes.

  • this is so freakishly awesome and bizzare!

  • What the fAAACk ? What is this ? I thought it was a trailer about Hp lovecrafts book the mountains of madness , this is a kind of a bad broadway musical !

  • very nice...fulle of Starry Wisdoms

  • yikes!

  • OMG!!!...What's that???....A new musical about Lovecraft??!!....H.P.Lovecraft Superstar??

  • Next someone will do a production of "The King in Yellow" using the original play :)

  • I already know the Robert W.Chambers's book, but i really think these movies based on these horror classics are just ridicolous...I love Lovecraft, but i hate his filmmakers

  • 2b fair, horror is a very difficult genre, and H.P. demands a more intimate portrayal of psychological distress than most actors and directors can manage. I may be canned for saying it, but it needs the same treatment as if you were making a film of a Henry James novel... say "Portrait of a Lady". Horror is often seen as a subset of the action movie, and it just won't work for H.P.'s stuff.

  • Ok formless..me and you understand us. I totally agree with your opinions, well told! ;-)

  • I hear you man. It's like the only filmmakers who will even attempt to take on doing a Lovecraft film, SUCK!

  • EXACTLY. If Lovecraft was alive (and he probably is... o.O) he'd be PISSED! No one does ANYTHING right! Like, I just watched "Dunwich Horror," made in 2009, I guess, and it SUCKED. ROYALLY. Yog-Sothoth was depicted as some bs Alien movie reject, in the center of a purple thunderstorm with no rain. I hope the REAL DEAL breaks through to this world and kills the director.

Only redeeming quality, was an old guy who could shoot lightning out of his fingertips. And Wilber Whatley was cool too.

  • i really didn't like the guys singing, but the neratives were awesome.

  • I love you, Alexander Hacke!

  • Got the DVD -its great! really good extras too!

Wish I could have seen it live...

  • Wow. That music was exceedingly terrible. It couldn't have been any worse if there were 4 copies of that band playing at the same time.

  • What a

    snooze

  • yeah rats in the wall thats the one where that guy eats the the fat officer(vague i know)

  • I liked Dreams in the Witch House. X3 Rats with Human faces... hawt.

  • Fantastic!!! I was reading Rats in the Walls the other night before I went to sleep. Alexander, you have very good taste. Is there a record available, because, if so, I MUST have it!!!

  • I've actually picked up a record of

Roddy McDowell reading 'The Outsider' and 'The Hound'.

It just seems so unique that McDowell would do a Lovecraft reading that I just couldn't pass it up.

  • They should open up for Marylin Manson.

  • I saw this guys years ago in Adelaide. they did all these really old german ghost stroies.

    Creeped me out bad!!!

  • Simply Great!!! Greatings from Mexico... HP, master of masters...
