I really want this look in a tutorial lol. I'm all in the screen trying to see what you used and where. You look so flawless. Eyes perfect, cheeks, lips. Le sigh.
OOOOOOOO Ms. Chanel.. I have a response vid for this 2morrow... But ur so right, its sad that sometimes whatever people have access to is what they think is the only truth of us or anything else for that fact, and when u see it being made a mochary of then its no wonder why we cant get jobs or why we get harassed... i feel u so much on this and will be back with my feelings on it.. GOd Bless darling
This perspective really needed to be put out there...out here...it's always the damnest examples who set the bar..and bad habit have a tendency to travel much faster than good ones..that's just how it is...thanks for bringing ole' skool back..of how girls were represented back in the day...because somewhere we have kinda lost our way..due to commercialism...partly due to just wanting to have a good time..but that can be done in good taste too..all...minorities in general..minorities at large..
All I could do was roll my eyes and think to myself, "This is the reason, Transwomen will never get ahead." When you constantly make a spectacle of yourself and your community, then where do you expect the respect to come from? We live in a generation where fame is literally 15 seconds away and everybody and their mama is grasping for it. Yet people will sale themselves out for 15 minutes fame, Only to be here today and forgotten about a left on the ledge tomorrow. Its sad.
@waltbaby08 The reason trans women will never get ahead?
Listen: The reason trans people have problems getting ahead is bigotry. Let's be clear. There is no need for people who are discriminated against to justify bigotry. Trans people are imperfect and flawed just like people who are not trans. You don't have to be perfect to deserve basic rights.
@TruthSerum101 When you refuse to respect yourself, how in THE HELL can you expect anyone to respect you? You have to lay your foundation before you build the house, unless you want your walls to crack. We fix ourselves before you can expect to be treated the way we feel we should. When you do nothing but make yourself look like a fool, then a fool you shall be called. When you carry yourself like a lady or a man, that is the title you will be given.
@waltbaby08 Individuals of every kind make fools of themselves everyday despite sexuality/lifestyle. I don't think it's fair to hold Transpeople to a higher standard and in turn add fuel to the shame. You represent yourself not a demographic. I refuse to legitimize "they are all alike" thinking. Anyone who thinks that way is a bigot. I also think it's perilous to put too much importance on what "they" are thinking.
@TruthSerum101 But if you take what I said in context to what Chanel said, it is the fools, the messy girls, the good for nothing up to not good Transwomen, that is in the forefront. They are apart of the main stream. Like Chanel said, They are on T.V shows, They are on the radio, they are writing books. They have become the face of the Trans Community. So when they make fools of themselves, that is more like a direct representation of the Trans-community.
@waltbaby08 I disagree. I don't have any Trans friends in "real life"; I only see Trans people online, on TV and on the street and I do not think of them as messy or foolish. I take each person as an individual. Trans people should not be any more ashamed of other trans people than they should be of the monsters at Penn State. Minorities and oppressed people take on too much pressure. Shame and any transference thereof is toxic. If anything, I think of Trans people as courageous survivors.
@TruthSerum101 If a Transwoman were to carry herself like a lady day in, day out, She will be treated like a lady. But if she wants to act an ass, boost, queen out, and craft her way through the streets, then no one is going to take her serious, yet alone respect her. Like Chanel said, "Each One Teach One", We really need to get a hold of these babies while they are young. Everybody wants to be apart of a movement but some go about it the wrong way.
