Bret got the "old legend" pop from the crowd, LIKE I THOUGHT HE WOULD. Even worse they switched his theme music which is a no no on a return. His old theme wasn't bad!! We will see what they will do at Wrestlemania!
it should be noted the Ric Flair wrestled until he was 58 years old. Assuming Bret has kept in shape, age isn't a huge factor until you hit the upper 50's. Obviously, Bret did suffer a stroke 10 years ago, but it is not unheard of to almost fully recover from a stroke. We won't see him do anything high-octane. But when have we ever seen Bret do anything too crazy?

I was thinking that if there was anything that could bring Bret Back it would be to make that announcement and we're getting towards the time of year the announcements start coming. The difference between Bret coming to WWE and Hogan coming to TNA is that Bret's return has meaning. I mean, it's Hulk Hogan, on TNA...on TNA television...annnd that's about it.
But Bret's return has so much meaning to it. Bret has had a tumultuous history with Vince McMahon and in the past has said that as long as he breathes he will never return to WWE. Hey spinnernet...I'm a little worried about the today's WWE fan's reception of Bret Hart. This past week when his name was mentioned on Raw I didn't hear a big pop from the fans, not like we would hear for The Rock or Stonecold returning. I think WWE should've run some career highlight pieces just building up the return. I would hate for Bret to return and he get a little Roddy Piper "old legend" pop because I think he deserves better...do you see what I'm saying?

does anyone know if Owen's wife has conceded to letting her late husband entering the WWE Hall of Fame? I was thinking that if there was anything that could bring Bret Back it would be to make that announcement and we're getting towards the time of year the announcements start coming. At the same time Bret's contract is seems to go to Wrestlemania which would put him in place to make him the perfect ceremonial speech.

I'll do a quick double post b/c i couldn't post more. I think it would be great to see at WM a re match of Bret Hart vs HBK. That would be epic. He could get into shape by that time if he trains hard enough during that 3-4 month span. Ric Flair is 60 and just retired like 2 years ago?

I'm glad to see him come back it's been so long sinne he has been in wwe or wcw. I've always been a huge HBK fan since child hood. I don't think Bret hates Shawn he really hates Vince more than anybody. After the Montreal screw job Bret punched Vince back stage before leaving. And after his brother dying i think there is still a pretty large feud. I'm sure Vince is giving him a shit load of money to do this b/c i can't see BH doing this for nothing.

HBK told Vince McMahon "Only good things can happen" When Bret returns in my opinion that means that Bret will get revenge on HBK for the Montreal Screwjob, which I think will be just a classic moment. lol I think DX will retain the Unified Tag Team Championships & than right after the match (DX fatigued) Bret Hart will Order DX to defend the belts against the Hart Dynasty, & they win the titles from DX. now that be some sweet revenge!!! :)

The Kinbg was a heel commentator for the heart foundation in the mid to late 90s. something with sawgger will be a waste. with dx now the tag champs i can see something happening with the heart dynasty. but there need to be champs first to get them over on raw

If anybody thinks TNA will compete with WWE you are dreaming.
TNA will never gain enough steam to be where WCW was. It just won't happen. Not enough support. I know for a fact that they have given away tickets for free just to fill arenas.
Even if they did manage to rise up and become a competitor. Vince would just drop the PG rating and erase TNA just like WCW. Attitude Era part 2.

Vince McMahon is now 64. 10 years ago he faced Austin at the Royal Rumble for which he worked out for. He was 54.
Bret is only 52. I know that he has suffered a stroke in the past and head injuries due to Goldberg, but if he works out and gets fit now, he could well be in action at wrestlemania 26.
He himself said that he would not come as a full time wrestler. He might just return to action for wrestlemania 26 against HBK or McMahon and not wrestle before that.

The difference between Bret coming to WWE and Hogan coming to TNA is that Bret's return has meaning. I mean, it's Hulk Hogan, on TNA...on TNA television...annnd that's about it.
But Bret's return has so much meaning to it. Bret has had a tumultuous history with Vince McMahon and in the past has said that as long as he breathes he will never return to WWE. So his return is a significant thing, especially to the true wrestling fans who've followed the business since the 80s-90s.

They might have DX defend their unified tag team titles against the Hart Dynasty in a pay per view, and control the match until Brett comes and helps the Hart Dynasty win.
Or, remember when HBK challenged the Undertaker to a match at Wrestlemania? The match might be a Triple Threat.
I stress the word might in both situations, because Brett might just be another Raw guest host...

Hey spinnernet...I'm a little worried about the today's WWE fan's reception of Bret Hart. This past week when his name was mentioned on Raw I didn't hear a big pop from the fans, not like we would hear for The Rock or Stonecold returning. I think WWE should've run some career highlight pieces just building up the return. I would hate for Bret to return and he get a little Roddy Piper "old legend" pop because I think he deserves better...do you see what I'm saying?

a lot of wrestlers think they can wrestle again, doesn't mean that they can. anyway, i wish Bret luck, but he's obviously not gonna be anywhere near the same guy he was before, ability wise. your heart tells you that you can do it, but your body sometimes can't hold up it's end of the deal when you get older.

with Bret coming back i think its likely he will be the mentor of the Hart Dynasty and that means it also likely there going to start pushing the Hart Dynasty which would be nice to see .

Hmmmm...I could potentially see this being a good thing for the Hart Dynasty. With their association with Bret Hart it would be an oppertune time to push them further. After all if they could do it with Cody Rhodes and Ted DeBiase just because of who their fathers are, then with the WWE's 'logic' it would be foolish to let this push waste away with such a good oppertunity...
