I think the only reson these bigots want to take rights away from gay is becase sodomy will not be seen as "devient" behavior much longer, but instead a normal sexual practice, and it just won't seem as fun or dirty to do it any more. Active Mormon Christians have a divorce rate of about 6% (according to the LA Times), while that is 6% too high, it shows how effectively we prevent divorce.
