1988 Nissan 300zx Turbo

I have a Shiro in Canada that has 410,000 kms and still drives very smoothly. I bought it when it had just over 300k for looks, value ($2000), and fun to drive, but I'm determined to keep this until one of us dies to test our endurance. LOL I'm about to buy another white 88 z31 2+2 auto for about $1,000 as a spare.

do all of the shiro editions have plaques? as well as the shiro decal on the back? i believe i found a shiro, they are asking about 6500 dollars for it though. seems a bit overpriced...

@1988sandydan As far as I know they would have come with plaque as well as the shiro decal on the back. The plaques tend to fall off once the glue gets old so I could see how that could be missing. All Shiros are Pearl White, turbo, have no options other than standard Z31 stuff, and light-weight Recaro seats stock. How many km's does the one you found have?

@1988sandydan 6500 for a shiro that is low miles and mint condition is cheap as fuck! the cheapest one i found had 12k original miles and was in mint fucking condition and was $45,000. it was a low number too. the shiros also come with white wheels.

I just purchased a shiro edition but it does not have the plate saying the production number, is there a way i can tell what number it is by the vin? The last 3 digits are 728..... could that be the production number?

I think these are one of the best types of Z's. I had an 86 N/A, but always wanted a Shiro. Long-live the Z31. I'm about to get a 350z for my daily driver, but if it were more financially practical in my situation, I'd probably get a Z31 again.

haha thanks! Insurance happened. I was 17 when I first got the car and drove it until I was 19. The insurance was pretty steep. Then they decided to increase the insurance rating on the car and the insurance became rediculous. I had to sell it. I put about 60 000 trouble free km's on it while I had it. Such a great car to drive.

Light-weight Recaro seats stock, limited slip differential, different ground effects, different shock valving, different rear spoiler, and of course pearl white. They only came as two seater turbos.

Where did you find this car?!?! There were only 75 of these ever brought into Canada, and only 1000 ever made in North America! Since yours has a label directly below the shifter, you'rs is Canadian and 48/75! Way to go at keeping such an amazing ride alive.
