Hate everything about the Giants...even that damn yard sucked. Nice chain link fence you had there. I think I remember when I was a kid watching a Dodger game when some genius standing up from like the 5th row throwing a bottle at Reggie Smith. Stay classy SF...
Fuck NY LA is where the Dodgers belong.Tommy once said to the people of SF"You people dont hate me."You hate yourselves because you really love me".Classic Lasorda.
You giant fans have to admit that there has never been another Dodger manager that has given you more reasons and more joy to raz and boo than Tommy. Face it, you need another Dodger manager to hate like you hated him.
The "Dodgers" name should be returned to Brooklyn. This Organization has too much "Brooklyn Origin" to call itself "The Los Angeles Dodgers".. Los Angeles stole "The Dodgers" from Brooklyn.
If you ever read the full story the Dodgers got shafted in NYC by Robert Moses. He rigged everything so that the Dodgers either had to move to land he owned in Queens or move somewhere else entirely, and they choose to move to LA.
There's also a rumor stating that the Dodgers convinced the Giants to move to SF not to retain their rivalry, but to stick it to Moses, because had the Dodgers been the only one to move Moses would have gone after the Giants instead.
Frisco fans are all queers, just like my friend Alan Contreras of the State of Oregon!! My wife sells mutant pork for food!! My daughter is a lesbian, she would feel right at home with all the perverts in Than Franthithco!!!!
I miss the Stick. I miss watching teams make that LONG walk to their locker room pass all the fans on the 1st base line. Oh the memories y'all. Oh the memories.
that was the funniest , i remember dave concepcion got ejected and he had to walk down the 1st base line ,and he slammed the door and everyone just erupted after that , funny ass stuff (it was in 1988)
hell yeah candlestick ruled. Being at a Giants vs Dodgers game on a friday night at the stick was the place to be in the bay area. There was NO better place to be!!
it was funny when Tommy used to blow kisses to the giants fans whenever they booed him. I miss the Candlestick days and this is coming from a Dodgers fan
i agree. candlestick ruled. i'm a giants fan but i loved going to the stick especially tommy and the blue crew were in town. i have more clips from this game i should post...
GIANTS @ the Stick was like being in the artic. Cold, WINDY ... LOVED IT!!! i really miss the giants at the stick. yeah att is nice and flashy but how many names did we go through and when night games came, loved the win as i saw a big mac wrapper slap a dodger or padre fan in the face thanks to the wind. LOL! GIANTS!!!
@ruffbizness Candlestick ruled??? I'm all for nostalgia and all but having suffered going to that wind riddled not for baseball stadium most of my life all I can say is good riddance.
I enjoyed watching Giants/Dodgers games in the Bay Area. when I was young. Mostly saw TV games out of LA though. I went to one Giants/Dodgers game at the 'Stick on a frigid spring night one year. I'm not sure but I think Tommy's cap was blown off by the beloved Candlestick winds and was chasing it to no avail while the fans laughed and cheered.
this is btwn. 1989 to 1992, 1.) the chain link fence 2.) the perverted p.a. announcer (which i didn't know 3. the slim fast heckler (he did it after the 1988 world series.
i'll figure it out. i have another slice from this game -- giants had bases loaded, dodger error, crowd goes crazy. some guy id'd the game and found the box. i think it was in 1990.
My guess is 1988. The clue is the black armband worn by the National League umpire. Veteran senior circuit ump Lee Weyer died midway through the '88 season and his brethren wore the memorial tribute on their sleeves for the balance of the season.
I'm a typical Dodger hating Giants fan, but somehow I thought Tommy was great, he really helped keep the rivalry burning.

Stole it? Didn't the Brooklyn Dodgers owner move to Los Angeles? You're an idiot.....which is probably why you're a Dodger fan.

The PA announcer you hear in the background was fired for child molestation charges. The Giants havent had a male PA announcer since.
