If you ever read the full story the Dodgers got shafted in NYC by Robert Moses. He rigged everything so that the Dodgers either had to move to land he owned in Queens or move somewhere else entirely, and they choose to move to LA.

There's also a rumor stating that the Dodgers convinced the Giants to move to SF not to retain their rivalry, but to stick it to Moses, because had the Dodgers been the only one to move Moses would have gone after the Giants instead.

GIANTS @ the Stick was like being in the artic. Cold, WINDY ... LOVED IT!!! i really miss the giants at the stick. yeah att is nice and flashy but how many names did we go through and when night games came, loved the win as i saw a big mac wrapper slap a dodger or padre fan in the face thanks to the wind. LOL! GIANTS!!!

I enjoyed watching Giants/Dodgers games in the Bay Area. when I was young. Mostly saw TV games out of LA though. I went to one Giants/Dodgers game at the 'Stick on a frigid spring night one year. I'm not sure but I think Tommy's cap was blown off by the beloved Candlestick winds and was chasing it to no avail while the fans laughed and cheered.
