Is it just me more or does this part of Dark Aether look like it would have made an intersting stage for a Super Smash Brothers game, the poison water rising and Chykka in the back ground blowing fighters everywhere and if your knocked outside of the light crystal shields, you could start to take damage.

But that's the only time I ever used Darkburst, and never used the Lightbeam's Super. Like as soon as ya get it, those posessed Commandos show up, and the Dark Beam freezes them fine, and a missile shatters them (almost feels a little unfair (and counterintuitive)), but the supposed mighty Sunburst does jack squat to them.

For Larva and Light Adult, I use Power Beam only, actually; like when the larva does the tongue attack, it's easy to break it and fire off a Super Missile into it's gut, and am really good at hitting with charged shots, even when it's in the water, or when the Adult form keeps breaking the target lock.

Then, light-beam for Dark Adult, and by this point I have the Dark Burst to kill all the chykklings at once and get a shower of Light Beam ammo to finish it off.

Seriously guy, the Light Beam doesn't have that kind of distance needed to hit Dark Chykka, gotta learn to use the Lightblast more often :P But kudos on the Darkburst against the Chykklings, no one ever does that and it works so well! =D

Your process doesn't work at all. Seeker missiles do NOT lock on to its wings. WHY does it seem that the first time you fight a boss, the main aspect to hurt it doesn't work!?

I had to eat dinner and I stood in the Dark Zone too long, when I came back I only had one Energy tank to use against Chykka. Try that on Hypermode.

Geez, okay, I'll try again. I got killed trying to scan the damn thing. Then the next time I was zapped between his poisonous venom and the poison water - which I didn't realize I was standing in despite the incessant hissing until I it flashed Low Energy (it should have added FOOL!). I never made it to the last stage so I'll be back to watch that when I have managed to kill the first flying feind!

its just better to use super missiles at light chykka them the dark beam. even if the dark beam use less ammo, its slow as hell, and chykka is pretty fast to avoid your projectiles. I'd rather waste 14 missiles everytime I needed to put him at his dark form(4 for the wings) then keep spamming my dark ammo trying to hit that bastard =X

The Metroid Prime series is one of the few that makes every major boss feel epic. Parasite Queen, Flaahgra, Omega Pirate, Meta-Ridley, Amorbis, Chykka, Quadraxis, Emperor Ing, Mogenar, Helios, Omega Ridley, Dark Samus, AU 313. They all felt epic to me.

When breaking da last strand off the cocoon, make sure u r in the water. If u r in da water when you break da last strand, after da cutscene, you will be on land, but when you jump you get an anti-gravity lift that lets you go very far, and very high. Da game still thinks u r in the water so your jumps are az if u were in water. The bad-newz is, if you touch any water, the effect wears off. Apparently, u must be in dark water when a cutscene occurs to activate this glitch

I hate this boss. but i kinda got a better idea on what to do. when at the beginning when he was shooting the purple stuff at you I kept on grappling beam around it and I hadto take a guess when it'll stop.

Actually, you can semi-reliably just double-jump over it. As for stunning it: Target-Lock is prectically useless, since you have to waste time re-aiming and re-locking, but I have the timing down for releasing charged Power Beam shots to hit it almost every time, aiming *manually*. And of course, you can get a super-missile off when it charges. Also, didn't seem like he knew: You can multi-lock a single target with the Seeker Missiles (ie: lay an extra missile when targeting all 4 red dots)

@ Trey7191, I managed to get two keys but if you want the one in the under chamber where you fought the Alpha Blogg, you must head to the Sanctuary to find the Spider Guardian and head back to where you fought the Alpha Blogg to find a dark portal. In the dark area of that certain area you will find the Power Bomb Guardian. Destroy the guardian to get your power bomb technology back and blast open that yellow door to retrieve that key. I hope this helps!

u cant get to sancturary without the dark visor so u NEED to get all 3 torvus keys before sancturary. the proper way 2 get this key is to gravity boost up to a portal in hydrodynamo shaft (light world). once thru the key is sitting right in front of u

Quadraxis is quite easy. I beat him on my first try with over 6 energy tanks left. Now, the first form of Emperor Ing is easy, yet ammo consuming. The second form is all about gathering ammo, and finally MEI is just hard since you used up all ammo for the first form, but regardless, i still beat him on my first try.

ya but the 1st time i got to quadraxis i only had 4 energy tanks and one ammo expansion so i had 100 of each ammo instead of 200 ammo of each.
