every single ancestor of everyone alive today has experienced slavery or discrimination to some extent.. it's human nature. Even the "whites" back before the dark ages were more or less the Germanic tribes of Europe which, if you know your basic history, were constantly conquered , enslaved, murdered, raped, pillaged and all of the above by the Romans.

@gunninlinguist I wasn't referring to ultimate victory or how things ended up.. Sure, Rome eventually fell. But only after long wars and territory disputes with all of Europe. Romans commonly enslaved their prisoners of war and the Germanic peoples were no exception. Look your shit up, dude. I mean Gaul was annexed by Julius Caesar for fuck's sake. History 101.

Yeah I know. And the Gauls were Celts. The Romans only ever conquered a tiny Southwestern portion of ancient Germania, nothing beyond the Rhine and the dense forest land surrounding it. Sure the Romans saw them as barbarians and inferior (even citizens outside of ancient Rome were 2nd class initially) and enslaved them when they could but they never got control of them. Romans even started to turn to recruiting Goths etc for army manpower in their latter decadent years.
