  • wow good job

  • Pretty Sick Sounds . What Program Were You using here mate?

  • I would love like a tutorial video showing step by step setup, but you fucking rule anyways

  • @revoltalution72 sorry mate, sold the pk long time ago...

  • very nice

  • nice one

  • Man thats great

  • good shyte man!

where do you get your drum hits?

are they part of what comes with the software when you buy the pad?

  • @t3hPastaParty nope ... he would of asigned the pads to samples he has on his computer using Abelton,.

  • I love this Contoller...Gaahh

  • @scoota111: the melody synth line played on my XioSynth with some additional eq and filters

  • Reminds me of boards of canada (the sample that is) Whoever made it is pretty into sound design, obviously.

  • thats so sweet!!

  • How much does a padKonrol costs ??

  • the melody is clearly a sample . you can hear it being slown down and fracturing in ultra small bits

  • Well it is most of the time a sample.Even the simplest sound is a sample.but it keeps getting modified to and deform any sound,to make it your own sound.

say what you want, but i think that guy is a artist

    It is just my opinion

  • @bxlfr3 yeah basically i recorded a melody on the xiosynth and pitch-shifted it in live

  • Why not just get an electric drum set and change the samples?

  • because with a pad you can make the sample continue by keeping the buttons pressed. Also its cheaper smaller and you can program a melody with it

  • is this good for hip hop producing?

  • @kissmarton Thats mainly why I ordered mine two days ago. You can finger drum out some beats very easily into a daw and from what I've seen, the device is pretty versatile, especially for the price. Initially I had my mind set on one of the more expensive Akai Mpc's but I saw this and decided it'd be cheaper and help me get some experience.

  • drums are great but where did you get the sound? a smaple?

  • pukom k kk k kom popopopop kumumum kom kokokkkkkkkkkkkk

  • your so fuckin awesome

  • good

  • GRANDMASTER

  • What vst do you use to like trigger the samples? And can I ask how you quantise it to a time signature and how like to make it mono if you get me ... like when you trigger another pad it stops playing hte previosuly pressed pad ... thanks.

  • Im no expert but to answer your question he is using the PadKontrol to trigger samples using a software daw such as ableton or reason or a vst like bfd or guru to map the clips and hits in the description he has it set to 8th note quantization . and your last question im pretty sure u can assign the pads to either on/off { so hit it once then twice to stop} there is also a flam feature and your normal hit ....... This is a great representation of what the korg padkontrol can do .. BIG UPS PIERO

  • lovin the watch ;)

  • People suffering latency: switch from native Windows drivers to ASIO4ALL drivers!

  • very cool dude, i dig it. any advice on how to finger drum better? i cant seem to get the hang of it, but then again im dealing with a lot of latency...

  • nice watch. whats the name?

  • superfresh!

  • Nice !

  • how much coast§?

  • thats nice man. I am using an akai mpk 49 with ableton live I was wondering if i could connect a korg padkontrol with it and use both at the same time as a live set. Does anyone know ? thanks

  • just sick :(

  • Cool device i wanna 2

  • Is the background pad a super time stretched sample? I like this..

  • Bravissimo!

    Very Cool...

  • how can i sync my padkontrol to trigger sample?

    Help would be much appreciated!

  • This is wicked!

  • Awesome stuff. You just convinced me to buy the PK.

  • Its definitely not dubstep.

Its bloody awesome that's what it is!

  • wow who said it was dubstep xD ... its just like downtempo jungle but then it kicks in and it is propper jungle =] ... man this is pro! Hey pierlooqup I was wondering , is it easy to assign trigger pads to wavs? cause I might buy it for my jungle producing ... I use cubase and apparently it's a bitch to set it up but hopefully it will be worth it, thanks.

  • sickness!

gets very squarepusher-esque when you switch the drum pattern up.

    5 stars from me sir.

  • sikk but sounds more like dubstep

    sikk still :D

  • no dubstep

  • lol well dubstep is usually around 140 bpm and much more bass oriented then anything so i wouldnt very much consider this dubstep, however his intro of this song which is about 1:30 long sounds pretty dubstepesque with the drum pattern he was playing.

    /watch?v=UNfryT3cG2U <-- Dubstep :D

  • dopeness!

  • Isn't this Dubstep, not Jungle?

  • lol no my friend, dubstep is a much muddier grimier bass sounding genre far more focused on bass and sampling then jungle, jungle has a higher bpm then dub.

  • Well, personally, I have the feeling of a dubstep, jungle and even some breakcore elements mix.

  • check my latest video out if you like the sound of Jungle Drum and bass!!! I've made a song with FruitLoops and it's the real thing!!

  • sounds like boards of canada, cool shit

  • Woah, so it does :O

  • Heyo man your the one ! ;)your thing is fucking crazy xD :p love it !

  • Dude that chord progression reminds me of a section in rayman 3, seriously its so similar it gives me nostalgia flashbacks sooo bad. LOVE THIS TRACK

  • what software is this with? i know padKontrol is native instruments but are you using ableton live?

  • padKontrol is not from native instruments, it's from korg, but i yes i'll be awesome if NI dropped a software for this like battery or somethin'.

maybe he's using ableton live, but if those are just samples, you can work with any software.

  • sorry it's "yess it'll be awesome" it seems that i ate the T, this happends sometimes.

  • OMG your fuckin well good on the beat box!.unreal mate:)

  • Sounds really good man, keep it up

  • Is it possible to just load sounds in the padKontrol, and connect the padKontrol to an amp (with a jack-cable)? Which means you don't need a PC in live shows?

  • Nope. The padKontrol is just a midi controller. It is only used to trigger the sounds. You have to have something to store the sounds that you want to trigger. Could be a sampler or computer of some sort.

  • Ah, thanks. Can you recommend a sampler?

  • they are super expensive...i play in a hardcore band and have to run samples and random noise tracks while im playing guitar/screaming and i opted to get one of these and just run it through a small laptop onstage..no big deal...

  • Comment removed

  • nice

  • how can i get one?

  • use google -.-

  • U must see the numbers panel, not the pad panel, Corky..

  • Comment removed

  • what program do you use cause I can't use my padkontrol with the program I have now

  • Excellent! I'm waiting for UPS to drop mine off today. The visual latency is a bit disconcerting but you sound great. Hope I can do as well. It looks like a nice software package also.

  • very nice !!!!

    i like your style

  • love it mate

  • @JohnnyDarko88 thanks mate!

  • nice but the audio its out of sync

  • FUCK! O_O!!!!

  • Wow, I have a padKONTROL as well but my beat-catching abilities are not on par with yours. Nice skillz.

  • Great stuff. Thanks for posting. Got to get back into studying the PK.

  • i say its pre recorded, the first kick and the third or forth snare dont light up on the pad when he hits it in the beginning along with many others. and the quantization? come on man u didn't mess up a single note.

but if by 1% chance im wrong, then good job!!

  • If you think so then maybe you should read the video description and check his work out.

  • ?? what its just quantised and practiced ...you cat "mess up" and you can see hit hitting every time even when the lights dont light up

  • jealous!

  • ableton live? :)

  • beaudiful watch @ 0:10 :)

  • great beat nice bro

  • wao

  • Man thats some good work right there. I had to watch it a few times cuz the video itself is a little delayed. It barely keeps up with the audio. That was awesome dude.

  • this is deffinately real. the pads wouldn't light up if he didn't touch them. really really good video. nice tune aswell. sounds a bit like aphex twin

  • Nice! is it at all like the Mpd ?

    what software do you use

  • is this korg padcontrol easy to pick up or does it take quite long to get use to?

because i wudnt mind something like this to piss around on!

  • quite alot to spend on summit to piss around on and a couple of days figuring out things and making ya own beets ud pick it up

  • awsome

  • SICK!! *****

  • awesome watch

  • lol yeah ^^

  • cool watch, man.

  • yeah !!! good job man !!!

  • Incredible stuff

  • awesome

  • I just creamed my shorts.

  • its like twilght of dnb cool so awsome make it longer.

  • Nice! I want one of those!

  • Nice video! how complicated is the PadKontrol to use? I'm thinking of getting one as long as setting it up and using it isnt too complicated.

  • not complicated at all m8, its a pretty simple machine when uve read the manual.

But remember its just a midi controller, so there are no sounds coming out of the machine itself at all, u can only control midi devices, or computer programs, like Ableton live, Reason etc... so if those programs( i think u wont buy a whole hardware drumcomputer to control) are too complicated for u, u cant do a thing with this device.

    so.. 1st check the programs

  • That was very impressive.

  • i want the watch ^^

  • HOW THAT MAN HAS HARRY FUCKING ARMS

  • fake. recorded earlier.

  • Off topic, but what kind of watch is that you're wearing?

  • Casio FILMWATCH! found on ebay for 20 bux

  • Hm. Looks kind of slick. Even though I prefer the Timex I'm wearing now. XD

I suppose I'll comment on the song. :) Liked the drumming the the end a whole lot, and the ambient background. It's a cool song.

  • Why on earth would this be fake? Idiots. Really liking this sound pierlooqup.

  • that's fake man

  • No it's not. Try again.

  • ...i dont really care whether its fake.

can we all just conclude that the song is good? lol

  • its saying something O.o

  • jajajaj all those that are saying is fake is because they produce only hip hop i guess, looks like electronic methods are to much for them. guys is not rocket sience.

if you know the padkontrol is just a midi controller and he is using a lap top so he is trigering loops or part of them at least i guess with ableton live so just be aware of technology and dont be overwhelmed for it.

  • awesome

  • It's not fake people, do your research!!

  • It's not fake guys, believe me. The whole point is that i'm firing AUDIO LOOPS, not one shot samples. That's why it seems fake and even if i miss pads the sound goes on. Just read the desc!

  • fake fake fake....what's the point...

  • Looks fake to me too

  • Also at :34 it doesn't light up...but maybe its not fake.

  • I am not positve but I am pretty sure this is fake. At 1:13 he misses the pad completely, it doesn't light up, but it still makes the noise it is supposed to. Normally I am not the one to call out fake, but it just doesn't look right for some reason.

  • look at the display when he hits it, it goes off when you hear the sound, the video just didnt catch it. the video is pretty low quality and low fps, the light flashing was probably in between two frames. its not fake

  • no, now that I look at it again I see clearly he didn't touch the pad. This tells me this was probably recorded earlier and as it plays the display changes with the song, no matter if he presses the buttons or not. It might just be a demo and he is making it look like he is playing it. I am convinced at 1:13 he doesn't touch the pad.

  • totally doubt someone would go through all the trouble. hes really playing, the video is just off, you can tell from 0 seconds that its milliseconds off synch

  • Nicely done man, keep it up.

  • Does this maschine run with a pc?

  • nice work man!

  • Can you plug in a mic to the Padkontrol?

  • no man, its just a midi controller, u cant even use it without a computer or some kind of midi device like a synth with a midi-in, but thats the power of this device, u can practically program every pad to do exactly what u want...

  • Ok cool thanks man. Do you need a special computer? Cause I have like a dell from 2005. Too old? Or do you just need a program for it like ableton, on any computer?

  • ull get a pack of free programs with the device, and u dont need a very fast pc at all

  • yeahhh is very cool!!!

  • i want to see more from you brother :)

  • make more!!!

  • preatey cool

  • very nice

  • Good job man !! Thats fucking hard to do....and i like the use of the flam notes!!!

  • Love it! Mind telling me what synth you are using for those eerie space sounds?

  • sound powered by padkontrol?

  • no

pad control is simply a midi controller

  • at 1:38 you were completely off what the beat was lol... I wouldn't be suprised if it was fake but it's real, nice job

  • good job boss, nice improv

  • good job! are you triggering loops in Ableton Live?

  • This is not fake. There's a slight delay cause i recorded the audio directly and then mixed to the video afterwards. Anyway read the description: i'm firing quantized audio loops

  • ... why?

    It's a MIDI controller.

The only reason I have for it being possibly fake is the slight video delay at the beginning.

    Good work.

  • r u stupid?^^ thats not a fake!

  • fake as.. looks like you spent a lot of time learning the drums in the track though.. loser

  • YEAHHH!!

    D 'n' B rulez

  • damn that was pretty awesome

  • wow that was awesome...thats just the type of drumming i want in my music

  • Wow do u work for Korg man, did u programed this beautiful machine.

  • magnifico exelent friend im im see from argentina my ingles is terrible sorry the song y like soo much perfect!!!!

  • when programming drum n bass, you don't always use short samples. I tend to make my beats various ways, then chop them up and use segments or even the full loop with different starting points for the triggering... make sense? Anyway. Nice programming. This guy's got a good idea of what he likes and the equipment that will get him there.

  • u using drum loops instead of drum samples?

  • where the fuck is hi hat? you play only bd + sd at the start and hi hat is in it, looks fake

  • he uses his right hand thumb which is kinda hard to see since his left is blocking the view. definatly not fake good job tho

  • you are seriously talented!

that musta taken ages, to programme each pad to play each sample... or am i missing something? what software are u using?

    thanks

    Oli

  • break out the rubberbands, black market padKontrol is mine

  • Sounds awesome man! Sounds a lot like Richard D James album by Aphex Twin!

I'ma head over to upitup right now!!!!

  • Awesome dude. I almost bought that once but I held off, and now they don't have one anymore.

  • how much this pad cost ?

  • £130

  • splendid

  • SWEET! i notice you are using a mac, good on you. How are you sequencing the patterns? also how are you recording them and what software are you using. cheers.

    kish

  • nice work mate nice watch too what kind of watch is that? :)

  • dam impressive o_O
