  • They sway at the same time because their bows are moving at the same time, so there is a reason that they are moving at the same time. Its more for uniformity than anything else. I am not trying to say that you shouldn't say that because I agree that it does get kindof annoying.

  • excellant

  • scary...funeral....O_O

  • lol swaying strings!

  • A very unsettling, but beautiful piece of music!

    Tchaikovsky is just amazing

  • bit on the slow side, but still apart from that it was pretty flawless.

  • kickass f horn part, Barry Tuckwell would be proud

  • Um, yeah, that was pretty amazing. And the viola part actually looks hard for once!

  • Wow you guys did great! I remember we played this is Lone Star Youth Orchestra in Dallas, Texas. Wow you guys have a huge orchestra...that's soo awesome.

  • I'm in Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra, in Symphenette, and we are playing this piece. I'm laughing, because ours soumds almost exactly the same, and most of the strings are 10 years old. I play bassoon, and I can't hear us :( but they have more basses then we do. It's cool to hear the different interpetations of a song you're playing.

  • actually i just watched other orchestras play this and this is definitely the best recording ive seen of it. great job.

  • what orchestra won. this did really really well. this is a very hard piece. and the balance and intensity through out the orchestra is intimidating. i commend on you on a great peformance lol.

  • It's simply amazing..perfect bowing..perfect sound dynamics...The conductor is one amazing guy

  • wow, sounds like a professinal orchestra =) . our school orchestra just played in UIL and failed.

  • REALLY GOOD FOR A HIGHSCHOOL

  • i luv playing this song

  • The ending killed it

  • I'm playing this in one of my orchestras, it's very exciting, yiu have portrayed it well. I like the movement, but I think the cellis should get in on it too! I think i'll suggest the movement at the next rehersal.

  • This actually made me cry on several occasions. Wonderful.

  • Slovenski Mars je posvecen oslobodilackom ratu Srba protiv Turaka 1876-77. Odatle poticu oni izrazito hercegovacki elementi.

  • Bravo!

  • this is a very challanging piece... i think this orchestra has done well

  • Sadly no, we came in second :(

  • Thats crazy, i wanna know who won first:(

  • Carmel High School Symphony (YouTube it:-D) played Bernstein's Mambo, Grainger's Irish Tune from County Derry and Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5

  • They won state right?

  • North Central won in '06 &'07; Carmel in '08

  • ...and in 2009...North Central

  • They move a lot! And I think too much. Maybe they like it. Who give a shit?

    Great music from great composer...

    And nice performance :)

  • well, if you watch any professional orchestra you'd see alot of movement. it very much so brings the music to life. North Central Orchestra is one living, breathing, organism, which is what our movement suggests. i mean listen and watch us, how do you NOT win state with an orchestra set like NCHS, but no matter '09 is even stronger!!
