Shamefully the Roland Juno-G does not have such good synth leads. It's much more concentrated on modern electronic type sounds than good old rock. Fortunately you can create your own patches.

For what its worth.......I have owned an M50 for 18 months now, I love the board it fantastic, but, without question the most unreliable instrument i've ever had. It has spent 14 weeks with Korg at this stage and still not fixed. This aside I would be very happy to own one that was 100% working order. Mine freezes continually, its unusable Korg wont fix it correctlly. I spent 1200 euro on it what a waste. On a different note......jasus your some keyboard player wow wow wow....!

I once played the M50 in a shop, absolutetely dissapointing and thin sounds. In spite of the undeniable skill of the player in this video, with the exception of the guitar and a few synths, this is not much better sounding than a GM module. Unusable!

I consider the M50 to be one of the best keyboard workstations on the market now. Light, easy to tote around but has a really big sound. I own other workstations, including the Yamaha MO6, Roland Juno G, Roland Fantom Xa and Korg Triton Le, Wavestation and 01/W but this beats them all. Killer sounds and effects! I was considering a a used Korg Trinity V3 w/ Moss but opted for the M50 and KARMA software instead. Glad I did. Usually use it with a Roland A37 or Casio WK3700 MIDI controller.

hi, i like korg the most but to be honest i hate the piano , too much bass in the lower octave not good for souls , i need more lighter piano, in my opinion Yamaha has great piano, on the other hand Sax is the best on korg

I have the 61-key version. It's just a brilliant machine. Compact, easy to use and has great and realistic sounds. The ability to make sounds from scratch is just to beautiful for words!

It's pretty easy though. Let me explain:

1. Press on the ''page select'' button

2. Select OSC/pitch.

3. Select the oscillators (sound sample).

4. Add effects to the sound, (otherwise it sounds like shit).

5. Edit the LFO's and filters (if you wish).

6. You're done.

Not impressed by the keyboardplayer at all. Those techniques are so very simple to learn, but sounds difficult and fast - thats all. There is always someone that can play faster, but no one that can play like "you" - so why not focus on a more personalized sound instead? Try to learn to play with more balance and timing. Then u would sound interresting. And the keyboard to :-)

I would like to know your view point . I have a yamaha psr s550( i like the sound). I work a lot composing music ( chill out) but I want a better workstation for record , editing tracks and create my beat .and mix them etc. is korg m50 good in this way? Ihave read tha the sounds are better in yamaha than korg . I have seen korg videos and realy want to leave my yamaha and get the korg . do you do it? whats the most cool in korg could you say???

Lead you used for solos (minute 4.30) are factory preset or you modified them? i mean also for pitch range, it seem you set +12 semitones instead of +2 as usual.. what do + Y and - Y control?

you do need speekers for m50. some korg keyboards do have them built in but even then it's always better to have speekers separate. the better speekers the better sound.

Thank brother.. You sold me on the Piano voices. I read a reveiw saying that the Korg piano wasnt all that great. But Im impressed. I currently own a Kurzwiel sp88x, which is awesome for straigh up piano,. but there are no suitcase voices. The organ on it isnt impressive. I am definatley goin to buy the M50. thanks for the video

There are over 1000 sounds in it. Yes, EPs are there too, and they sound nice. Piano sounds are the best coming from Korg in 20 years, as the samples are derived from OASYS. Brass isn't the best, but can be nice.

Kind of, yes, you can get a honky sound out of it. Detuning the piano samples is the key to it.

Not really, organs sound great, the only thing better than Korg's organs is the KB3 simulation in Kurzweil PC3, and dedicated Hammond XK-3.
