There is a lot more being added than character. Besides, the 10 new characters, there will be a minimum of 4 new stages, animation tweaks and more story elements. Not to mention the addition of at least one bonus stage.

I recommend it not just because of the new characters but because of this new mode that allows you to form a team then face people 1 on 1 while your teammates watch. So your team will go up against another team and you will have 1 on 1 fights to decide which team wins.

This seems like it'd be really fun to do with friends.
