  • Not gonna lie... that is the coolest thing ever.

  • the backwards version is actually better than the original

  • Funny ! I have also read about this in the book "Helden - David Bowie in Berlin", thank you for the experiment.

  • Dave gets into recycling decades before the rest of us - ahead of his time again!!

  • Cool! Never noticed :D

  • But this is how he did write some of the songs in "Lodger".

And it was in fact "Move On" that was based on "All the Young Dudes" backwards.

  • yin and yang

  • I was wondering what was up with "Move On". Backing vocals sounded backwards. Seems that is the case ;) Sneaky Bugger is right :D

  • :-)

  • "Sneaky Bugger" :3

  • @foreverstrange Well he is ;)

  • Kool. I have heard this before, but never actually heard it demonstrated.

  • I've heard the same rumour about Move On and All The Young Dudes but I've never actually heard it. Thanks for posting!

  • Epic! Good that he got use out of one song!

There's a similar, albiet more public, comparison of Sun King by The Beatles. On their 200-something album LOVE there's a track titled Gnik Nus, which is the song Sun King played backwards. They're both fantastic.

  • Wow, I didn't know that. I'll give that a listen.

  • @RebiiJay i was recently reading on book on David bowie and he said he was playing some tapes, accidently played one backwards, thought it was beautiful so used it x
