Helloween used to be my favourite band. Helloween is no more Helloween since Andi came. Helloween with Kai and Kiske was great. Helloween with Andi Deris - I don't recognize that band... That is why now I find Helloween spirit in Gamma Ray, Avantasia, Edguy, Hammerfall... Contemporary Helloween? No, thanks.
I like of Pink Bubbles Go Ape and Chameleon, I like Pink Cream 69 and of course, I just love Deris in Helloween, so to me both are great singers BUT I think Kiske became a little mercenary if you guys get I mean... =P

Kiske in Helloween is just legend, he recorded Keepers... I think he wanted to go out from metal - that`s why Chameleon was born. But if you like Helloween,u can accepted this album. It's a part of their history, this album isn't generally bad.Just different. Why not.I love Kiske's voice and focused his career after Helloween,really excited about Unisonic. But Andi is right person who saved Helloween. I absolutely agree.He isn't just substitute for Michael, He is Helloween voice without BUT.
Helloween = Kiske and Hansen and GOD U can not even compare their voices to Deris.... Kiske is on a whole new level than Deris.... the fact u people like the new tasteless helloween amazes me!

I think that this question is stupid, Helloween with Kiske, Helloween with Deris and Helloween with Hansen - three different bands and these men are three different vocalists. Hansen is like typical thrash metal singer (his voice is diabolic and like fifth instrument in the band), Kiske has melodic, clear and technical voice, Deris sings noisly and sharply like hard rocker (ex-Pink Cream 69 like Scorpions).
Kiske is the best singer,and by the way in my opinion there's nothin disgrateful in the Chameleon album,is different is an evolution and is not bad at all....
kai hansen is the brains and was the 1st helloween singer why isn't that and option in this video. KAI HENSEN ALL THE WAY kiski 2nd and deris just the guy that got picked up. some songs are cool i like them like paint a new world, and hell was made in heaven, but he trys too hard his vice gets annoying. ehgggg i dont know how to explain my self. HELLoWEEN.
Both are great, but very different in all senses. Kiske's voice's is incredibly powerful, but there are certain type of songs wich he just can't sing (or at least he has not proven he can), because his voice is always soooo clean. Deris in the other hand, has not a voice as powerful as Kiske's, but he's 100 times more versatile, he can sing from the mellowest ballad to various types of songs such as Liar, Revelation, Mr. Torture, Ocassion Avenue, Who Is Mr. Madman or whatever...
Kiske couldn't write music. helloween was at their finest with just kai, and kiske and kai, no other way, kiske needed kai to be awesome because kai wrote all the awesome shit, vocally any way you slice it Kiske shits all over Deris. Deris just sucks. Helloween just became "another power metal band" as far as i'm concerned when deris came into the picture. He is the worst live vocalist in metal, it's so pathetic sounding. Helloween to me picked up with Gamma Ray
Dispite the vocalist i like Helloween on every phase, every album , Kiske or Deris are just Helloween phases.
You forgot to mention the Hansen phase , walls of jericho its a fucking good allbum and u guys only keep ur mind only in Deris and Kiske.
Helloween changed forever when Hansen left , so between Kiske and Deris doesn't matter both r real good singers, what broke helloween was Kai leaving teh band.
ok lets give Secret Alibi to both. You think Kiske will sound so good in Deris-era song that have been marked by his voice? not a chance, he will good, but far behind original like Deris singing I Want Out.
Helloween with Kiske was great, Kiske's voice was so good & clear. The songs were great. But Andi is the spirit of Helloween since the first day he joined the band, it is like the band was made for him! He wrote dozens of wonderful trademark songs for the band! He has a warm & wonderful voice. I can imagine Helloween without Kiske & I love them with Deris! But I can't imagine Helloween without Deris though....

Deris is the man. Powerful, rough and unique voice, lots of soul and expression. Can you imagine The Dark Ride or 7 Sinners albums sung by Kiske? It'd be rediculous. I started listening to Helloween while they were fronted by Kiske, but i'm totally on the Deris wagon now. The newer albums are just amazing and couldn't have been sung better or more distinctively by anyone else.

No Hansen = No Helloween, No matter Kiske or Deris. And Kiske it's a lot way better singer and frontman. I like Deris but he was better with Pink Cream 69.
Who brought Helloween to success, you ask? Certainly it is Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske, a top quality composer and top quality singer. And when I am listening something, only the quality of music and vocals are important for me which is logical because that is the only reason for the listening :-))) . While Kiske is something like a god vocalist, Deris doesn´t belong even to best 1000 vocalist in the world - among first 1000 of shouting "singers" maybe yes ;-)

I think Kiske a singer with more vocal power than Deris. BUT! Deris was the guy who got Helloween after a bad phase. Is completely wrong to take the merit of Deris,simply comparing it with Kiske on vocal point of view. Deris has a wonderful voice and I think it fits perfectly in Helloween.

Personally, I prefer Helloween best during Kai Hansen era, hands down ! Speed thrash metal !! Kiske's Helloween era was too subtle for my metal musical taste. Kiske has a great voice but too sweet for hardcore metal fans. Andi Deris era, leans towards power metal. Judas Priest hardcore fans would truly favour Deris's era. This is just my personal oppinion & my musical taste.
Why do you say that Helloween starts to fail with Kiske if "Windmill" was written by Weikath????...............you should have learned more about this album before make this video.

Well, who is better? It's equally senseless as comparing apples and oranges... It's about who you love more. I always prefer Kiske, cause he did turn pop and all that, but there's still more meaning in some of his songs than in everything Deris has ever done. Accept it, Andi will always be compared to Kiske, but basically it's a totally different band than 20 yrs ago, 2 different ppl, so this comparison doesn't really make any sense :)

Sure Chameleon is not a good album...But i find it better than "Rabbit Don't Come Easy", "Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy", "Metal Jukebox" & "Gambling with the Devil"...
But "The Dark Ride", "Master of the Rings" & "Better than Raw" is kick ass albums that i think is better than all Kiske albums besides Keeper 2.

Yeah because Deris really rates against the more premier Germans of Kiske, Hansen, Scheepers, Sammet, Hartmann etc... no he doesn't. If Helloween started at the time Deris joined, same lineup, I don't think they would have the same success, they would have success but not the same level.
I don't like Helloween anymore. Gambling with the Devil is a pretty kickass album, as with everything prior (Deris or Kiske), but the new stuff is just god awful. Andi Deris can't sing anymore. Even with all the studio magic they pour on his voice in the new album, it's still painful to listen to.
Yeah, Andi Deris is good. But Keeper of the Seven Keys albums are by far the best Helloween albums (In my opinion of course), and when Deris tries to sing those songs which are written for/by Kiske, it just doesn't work. Deris has some good songs and good interpretations on the old songs but Kiske is the true character of Helloween.

Deris > Kiske is a very good joke for sure^^. Deris is a nice guy and a better frontman than Kiske, but lets face it, Kiske is one of the best singer of the world, you can't compare both. And the Chameleon song is maybe pop but you can't deny there's a lot of feeling. So if Deris is the savior, it's only on stage, because Helloween's album are now very far from the first and gamma ray's stuff... But the responsible of Helloween's changes in its music style remains keithak...

When people accept that Kiske will not return to helloween? When people accept Andi Deris like singer's helloween? Andi Deris is in Helloween since 1994!!! It's true that he can't sing the old songs like Kiske, but Kiske is more better singer than Andi, everybody Knows. The only deffect in Kiske was he wanted to control music in helloween and makes no "Halloween". Chamaleon never be a helloween's album.
i love andi deris.....he is a great composer and a good singer....he has saved helloween and now helloween rules more than never!!.....but i must recognise that kiske is better singer than deris....i only need hear them voices in live to see that....
Almost everyone is crying for Kiske. If you do, run and buy his album. Kiske is Helloween´s past, not present or future. And I´m glad that Andi came to Helloween, because he is doing the right work now, not that shit as kiske did. Thanks a lot for this video.

I think that this question is stupid, Helloween with Kiske, Helloween with Deris and Helloween with Hansen - three different bands and these men are three different vocalists. Hansen is like typical thrash metal singer (his voice is diabolic and like fifth instrument in the band), Kiske has melodic, clear and technical voice, Deris sings noisly and sharply like hard rocker (ex-Pink Cream 69 like Scorpions).

Both are great, but very different in all senses. Kiske's voice's is incredibly powerful, but there are certain type of songs wich he just can't sing (or at least he has not proven he can), because his voice is always soooo clean. Deris in the other hand, has not a voice as powerful as Kiske's, but he's 100 times more versatile, he can sing from the mellowest ballad to various types of songs such as Liar, Revelation, Mr. Torture, Ocassion Avenue, Who Is Mr. Madman or whatever...

Kiske couldn't write music. helloween was at their finest with just kai, and kiske and kai, no other way, kiske needed kai to be awesome because kai wrote all the awesome shit, vocally any way you slice it Kiske shits all over Deris. Deris just sucks. Helloween just became "another power metal band" as far as i'm concerned when deris came into the picture. He is the worst live vocalist in metal, it's so pathetic sounding. You forgot to mention the Hansen phase , walls of jericho its a fucking good allbum and u guys only keep ur mind only in Deris and Kiske.

Helloween with Kiske was great, Kiske's voice was so good & clear. The songs were great. But Andi is the spirit of Helloween since the first day he joined the band, it is like the band was made for him! He wrote dozens of wonderful trademark songs for the band! He has a warm & wonderful voice. I can imagine Helloween without Kiske & I love them with Deris! But I can't imagine Helloween without Deris though....

Deris is the man. Powerful, rough and unique voice, lots of soul and expression. Can you imagine The Dark Ride or 7 Sinners albums sung by Kiske? It'd be rediculous. I started listening to Helloween while they were fronted by Kiske, but i'm totally on the Deris wagon now. The newer albums are just amazing and couldn't have been sung better or more distinctively by anyone else.

Who brought Helloween to success, you ask? Certainly it is Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske, a top quality composer and top quality singer. And when I am listening something, only the quality of music and vocals are important for me which is logical because that is the only reason for the listening :-))) . While Kiske is something like a god vocalist, Deris doesn´t belong even to best 1000 vocalist in the world - among first 1000 of shouting "singers" maybe yes ;-)

I think Kiske a singer with more vocal power than Deris. BUT! Deris was the guy who got Helloween after a bad phase. Is completely wrong to take the merit of Deris,simply comparing it with Kiske on vocal point of view. Deris has a wonderful voice and I think it fits perfectly in Helloween.

Personally, I prefer Helloween best during Kai Hansen era, hands down ! Speed thrash metal !! Kiske's Helloween era was too subtle for my metal musical taste. Kiske has a great voice but too sweet for hardcore metal fans. Andi Deris era, leans towards power metal. Judas Priest hardcore fans would truly favour Deris's era. This is just my personal oppinion & my musical taste.

Well, who is better? It's equally senseless as comparing apples and oranges... It's about who you love more. I always prefer Kiske, cause he did turn pop and all that, but there's still more meaning in some of his songs than in everything Deris has ever done. Accept it, Andi will always be compared to Kiske, but basically it's a totally different band than 20 yrs ago, 2 different ppl, so this comparison doesn't really make any sense :)

Sure Chameleon is not a good album...But i find it better than "Rabbit Don't Come Easy", "Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy", "Metal Jukebox" & "Gambling with the Devil"...
But "The Dark Ride", "Master of the Rings" & "Better than Raw" is kick ass albums that i think is better than all Kiske albums besides Keeper 2.
And You complane about Windmill not being metal...so I have to ask: have you hears "Unarmed"? talk about not being metal ;)

I don't like Helloween anymore. Gambling with the Devil is a pretty kickass album, as with everything prior (Deris or Kiske), but the new stuff is just god awful. Andi Deris can't sing anymore. Even with all the studio magic they pour on his voice in the new album, it's still painful to listen to.

Yeah, Andi Deris is good. But Keeper of the Seven Keys albums are by far the best Helloween albums (In my opinion of course), and when Deris tries to sing those songs which are written for/by Kiske, it just doesn't work. Deris has some good songs and good interpretations on the old songs but Kiske is the true character of Helloween.
