I have the same problem. I have three Yoyos, two are quite big now and one is growing very slowly. Strange... But since I feed food made for discus (a mix of flesh of freshwater shrimps, heart of cows and plants) they all grow much faster.
you need to get some caves for these guys they like to hide and stuff. maybe the more dominant loach is being aggressive and not letting the little guy eat as much.
the are a lot less expensif in the netherlands the are just €2,75($3.96)

Can i put 2 each of Botia Kubotai , yoyo loaches and clown loaches in my 55 gallon tank(mine is 48 inch long and 14 inch wide)?
Or 2 of Kubotai and 3 Clowns?
Or just 5 of one of the species? (then i'll have to buy the cheapest one >_>)
