  • how can i get third age total war? is it an internet game or do i have to buy a disc or something?

  • @predictablepie You download it.

  • @MrFishman55 from where? what website is it cos i cant find one

  • Those beasts you first see charge are trolls, the guys in the leather uniforms are goblins. But man those Balrog mop the floor...

  • @xFLYBATx And he stated that the Orcs of the Misty Mountains are mainly Goblins!

Orcs ARE goblins. Everyone knows that... And how come Gandalf fought the Balrog at the battle of the Peak?

  • @SananSalar orcs are elves mixed with goblins

  • @TheGeorgeH93 incorrect orcs are corrupted elves look it up

  • @SananSalar

It's kind of ambiguous, actually. They're certainly orcs, but they seem to be mainly portrayed as a particular breed of orc.

  • is this 3.0 version. if it is how to kill balgors in charpter 4 of the fellowship champing

  • What a shitty computer man. Couldn't follow a thing...

  • this is what i missed against the Carthagian's elehants in RTW ))) these ugly giants!

  • the goblins and the balrogs shun light, they would be squirming through the entire thing- otherwise, awesome

  • Comment removed

  • i dident even see the battle at start

  • can u still play as the original factions in midievel 2

  • put your pikemen to the front of your melee inf where theres a gap in your stakes.

  • lol lag screen sorry

  • Wait, balrogs can't walk under sky from the end of First Age!

  • @xFLYBATx and on top of that they aren't supposed to have wings and are only twice the size of a man! oh well. i like the films depiction on one better.

  • @ACFriday6 Durin's Bane was about 7-8 m tall, I think, but the Fellowship couldn't clearly see if he got wings or not, because he spreaded too much smoke around himself.

  • @xFLYBATx the book said the darkness surrounding the balrog stretched wall to wall LIKE wings. its supposed to be a metaphor by tolkien i guess but some people took it literally. but again, i like the balrog peter jackson envisioned in the films. it was pretty badass.

  • what game is it

  • @legostarwarsbly TATW a mod for M2TW Kingdoms expansion ^^

  • They should use shogun 2 and turn it into a cool mod like this

  • I got a question: I downloaded the file. Do i only have to put it in the medieval 2 file to play it?

  • just a small correction goblins ride spiders not wargs

  • @alucardares66 youve blatently never watched lotr? for 1 there is no goblins in lotr, The ORCS ride 'worgs' not 'wargs'

  • @123theri There were Goblins in LOTRs look on the wiki and they are mentioned in the books

  • @123theri lol dude i can sense you havent read the books

there was goblins in LOTR... golblins were basically orcs but they were home to dark places like Moria

  • Comment removed

  • @123theri in The Hobbit goblins were used instead of orcs. This was because The Hobbit was not meant to be part of Middle Earth, based on his early writings. He used "goblins" so readers could better imagine them as they were from traditional folklore. The book was of course simple adventure story. They lived in "goblin town" and yes they did ride giant spiders. Later when he expanded the world into the trilogy he decided goblin would not do. Orcs were simply not folklore goblins.

  • 3.1 patch is out!!!!!

  • i cant make any good units in third total war (trolls, heavy infantry, heavy cavalry etc.)

Is that because i use cheats???? please help!

  • can i play this of a total war demo?

  • your talk ruined video

  • please make Warhammer: total war :D

  • @loendahl Search Rage of the Dark gods, you'll be pleasantly surprised

  • i wish i could hear you more over the silly music!!!

    :)

  • total massacre

  • thoose things are as much of balrogs as i shit off my cock

  • First of all, the balrogs are much larger, they are about the size of a mumakil. Second of all, they don't come in platoons but in single units.

lastly, one balrog can defeat an entire army

you know I wish if they added the rest of the magical creatures like the ents, dragons, giant eagles and the nazgul flying steeds.

but maybe thats asking for too much :(

  • @hecdc I'm pretty sure they already added the ents :D

And um, I'm pretty sure Balrogs can't destroy entire armies, since one balrog was felled by Gandalf, and well, Gandalf can't take on entire armies, can he? ;)

  • @oneswiftkill true, I just torrented it and saw the units.. its really cool, but folks are kinda disappointed there's none of the other bigger or flying creatures :(

  • @oneswiftkill word of power, nuff said xD

  • The best mod for the best game.

  • they're still pretty damn big

  • You do guys realize that you say the Balrogs are wrong because you saw them in the movie. But there is nothing really that tells they are REALLY big in the Silmarillion. Except one that is the Sun but for the others they are all really different. Just that we see a SINGLE one in the film dosn't mean they are all like that :P. So we can't really say this is wrong. In fact there would be much more thing that are wrong : Like they all look the same. Not only their high and without the wipe.

  • @MrGotyouto i guess u dont reailize how hard it is to make a mod so if u want t o complain about things that no one cares about fine with me. come at me bro! u gunna have a nerd rage?

  • @bakugandiablo I'm not complaning ! I absolutely love Balrog ! I'm really glad that mod atualy exist. I just wanted to point out some stuff. And no I'm not going to nerd rage :). Ypur the one raging for now. Don't answer me it's just going to be a stupid fight over a mod on a video game...

  • Yea they're wrong, but balrogs are crazy hard to kill

  • Do they have this game for macs?

  • Balrogs should be bigger

  • full exelent batle!!!

  • Un Balrog es una criatura del infierno, uno solo mató a Gandalf, imaginate a estos enanos y goblins tsk...

  • Comment removed

  • Oh wow,

Did you read The Silmarillion or how do you know that?

  • There should be just one Balrog but he should be MASSIVE!

  • @YangoMusic Well, during the first age, there was a lot of Balrogs, they were actually as common as Sergants, they orgianly fought aginst the Noldorne...

  • @TheIfifi not as common as you say though. Maybe a thousand. But the amount of orcs and evil Morgoth had was much bigger than Sauron. Sauron was maybe more manipulative.

  • Huh? I thought that there were only a few of them...

  • I would just like to point something out, at the beggining you said the factions were Orcs of the Misty Mountains that actually comtain mostly Goblins, in Tolkiens lore they are one in the same but they are mostly refered to as Goblins and Orc was a seldom used term for them.

  • balrogs lol !!!!!!!!

  • that many balrogs in the movie would mean gandalf dead arogorn dead legolas dead frodo dead pippin dead merry dead sam dead borimir dead gimli dead

  • Who else keeps scrolling with their mouse wheel to zoom out and view the whole battle field?

  • Those things are as much Balrogs as a pile of earthworms in a pool is a swarm sea dragons...

  • Look at my channel! XD

  • bello ** ma come devo fare x poter giocare con il signore degli anelli ??? =)

  • you seriously need to buy a new pc

  • uploaded first Isengard video.

  • Goblin is another name for orc, and uruk-hai means "orc folk"

  • the 3.0 version is out!!!!!!!!!

thumbs up so everyone can see it

  • @DaniHUNGARY1 indeed

  • @DaniHUNGARY1 where can i get it and how do i download it?

  • @GaryisaRoach use google ...

  • @DaniHUNGARY1 can u give me link so i can download 3.0 version :)

  • @DaniHUNGARY1 can u play a multiplayer campaign with this?

  • @DaniHUNGARY1 Actually, 3.1 Is out. :)

  • does the music of lotr play in battlefields o tat game?

  • those dragons are big

  • hey im trying to get this mod, and i love custome games, what are all the factions in this mod? do they have dale as well? what others?

  • @sae05z There are twelve factions: Gondor, Rohan, Eriador, Silvan Elves, High Elves, Dale, Dwarves, Mordor, Isengard, Rhun, Harad, and the Orcs of Gundabad

  • @avetian1 you forgot arnor

  • @avetian1 Orcs of the misty mountains as well

  • @sae05z Go to twcenter .com and look for third age total war under kingdoms hosted modifications. You can satisfy your need for information there. Since it is the main page for the mod.

  • how do I get this ??

  • how do you launch third age on medieval 2

  • I have a question didn't they had 13 rings eat happened to them did the nuzguls take em or wat

  • @alisso23e well the deal is the 13 are weaker than the one ring witch was crafted i the "Fires of mordor" and was stronger thatn all the others and the nazguls are dead kings but yah the one ring was stronger and thats why peoople fought over it

  • @alisso23e The Nazguls possess them. The One Ring was made to 'rule them all'. Hence why the Nazguls became like they did - they were corrupted by Sauron and the One Ring.

  • what rome total war game do you need for this mod

  • HA you have a commentators voice

  • Drums...drums in the deep...

  • Not all Balrogs look the same, only Durin's Bane looks like that (The one encountered in Moria).

  • @matthiasfsa I thought there was only one Balrog alive in the Lord of the Rings? The one in Moria the Dwarfs woke up.

  • @joonte1010 It is not known how many were left, any that remained were in hiding same as the one in Moria.

  • @joonte1010 There were several, and Tolkien mention at least three that are still alive.

  • @matthiasfsa Ah alright! I havent read the books so this is something i didnt know, hehe. Thank you!

  • your video rocks

  • Man dont u wish u had gandalf to not let the Balrog's pass?

  • Balrog is so small,he is like a troll

  • nice can u make more

  • for online battles dose it auto chose for you

  • balrogs are wrong.

  • @barty116 They made this mod for us. Be grateful.

  • Great Video keep up the great work! Thumbs Up

  • someone need to make a mod so d balrogs is in flames.

  • FUCK! here i'm sitting with a computer non-compateble with kingdoms = not able to run the mod... FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • Ha! I noticed the random palm tree at the foot of the lonely mountain

  • Battle of Five Armies, I assume?

  • Yeah I only just realised that, my bad...

  • son**

  • First off: WoWhelpferful, how doesnt the mod work for SEGA? the mod is for mtw2 and SEGA created mtw2, so yh, the mod works for SEGA, lmao. Get your facts staright song.

Second off, love your vids scribe, but you gotta increase volume when you talk, I can barely make out the words you are saying.

  • The Creative assembly and SEGA have no idea how much money the mods have brought for them

  • @BunnyPoopCereal this mod doesn't work with C.A or SEGA.

  • Thumbs Up if you think thrid age total war is better than Call of Warhammer total war

  • @OnlineAOEmaster Yes, I think it is better but why the hell should I give you a thumbs up for it?

  • @KillerMonkeyBob

Sauron was never a maiar, he was an Ainur.

He was around long before Gandalf and Saruman arrived in wizard form. Saruman wasn't in wizard form due to corruption, it was because he was sent as a maiar from the Valar, but in his wizard form. Along with Gandalf. And Sauron was not always evil, he was originally good. He was actually one of the latest to give into Melkor. He used to be known as Mairon originally, but after his corruption, he became Sauron.

  • @hman961 Actually Sauron was one of the maiar. the Ainur means is that they were the "holy ones" created by Ilúvatar. This included both the Valar (like Melkor) and Maiar(Like Sauron.) It is true that he was around long before Gandalf was in wizard form, but that does not mean he was around longer than Gandalf. When speaking about the 5 wizards, they were called the istari, who were maia spirits who were sent to aid against Sauron.

  • @joemarch17 You're quite right, sir. The Ainur mostly stayed with IIuvatar, and the Valar and Maiar were the ones who came to Earth. In power terms, Sauron was one of THE most powerful Maiar, yes. But if he were Valar, like Melkor aka Morgoth, the War of the Ring would have ended FAR sooner. As in, not have been fought. Because Sauron the hypothetical Valar would've IMMEDIATELY won.

  • @hman961 his race was Ainur his division was a Maiar of Aulë. This is why he knew so much about forging. (rings of power etc.)

  • @sikaman9

Because the balrogs hid deep in the mountains after Morgoth was defeated. Morgoth was the creator of the balrogs, (I think) but their leader was Gothmog, (the balrog that Gandalf killed.

  • @hman961 Gothmog was killed by Ecthelion of the Fountain an Elf of Gondolin.

  • In my game there is only one balrog per unit :(

  • is there any third age mods for rtw

  • did you choose the enemy units

  • HOW DO I GET THIS MOD?! I got the game and the expansion.

  • @playman579 medieval 2 kingdom must be not normal and do not walk pe

  • balrogs look like kreegans from might and magic 6 . great vid

  • @jirkahudak3 Balrogs are actually mayar firespirits that Melkor "turned evil". He had many Balrogs in his army. But after his armies were destroyed, the remaining Balrogs fled and hid deep beneath the mountains. The one u see in the movie is possibly the last remaining balrog and he was awakened when the dwarwes dug too deep.

  • i thought balrog was made by sauron. why goblins have balrogs?

  • sauron andthe cave trolls are and i actually hope that the giant spiders will be in patch 2.2

  • Somebody switched off the light on the belryg!

  • it looks to me like mordor is the best haha

  • HI just wawnted to know if i download the mod will i get a virus?

  • @bakugandiablo Really?

  • Wish CA would make this a game.

  • THANK GOD they kept to the books with the Balrog in this. :D

  • This rewrites the meaning of "Raped"

  • god you all are so damn lucky... my motherf*king computer is to damn slow for this kinda stuff

  • im sorry but BALROGS FUCK UR SHIT UP!!

  • You can also play this on Rome total war.

  • dwarf dragonslayers are cowards

  • Fantastic vid btw :)

  • What? Why is there more than one Balrog? :O

  • @MegaMad4Mongooses Because in the books there are more balrogs the balrog of the movie was just 1 there are more but not in the third age they are from earlier times when aragon not have bornt yet;)

  • @hardcorebang Haha thanks :) Wow, a dozen Balrogs :O :L That's a thought i'd rather keep out of my head :3

  • @hardcorebang There was only ever 7 balrog, and 6 of them where killed in the first age. Durin's bane (the balrog from the fellowship trilogy) is the last of its kind. They are of the same kind as gandalf and sarumon but where corrupted by morgoth to serve in his army. I don't like that balrog are a recurring unit in this mod, especially in such large numbers.

  • @KillerMonkeyBob Actually, Balrogs, servants of Melkor, were around long before wizards were sent to aid the men and elves of middle earth in their struggle against Sauron. I don't know where it would say exactly how many Balrogs there are though its certainly not in the Simarillion. The only Balrog mentioned by name is Gothmog Lord of Balrogs who (with some help) slew Feanor. I would think that Lord of Balrogs would imply more than 7 of them though. I'm not crazy about them being recruitable 2.

  • @hcdangerfield211 Balrog are corrupted maiar, Just like gandalf is a maiar. Also melkor = morgoth, and it is said in one of the "history of middle earth" books that at most only 7 ever exsisted.

  • @KillerMonkeyBob If Balrogs are Maiar than they must then be some form of demi-maiar seing as Sauron, Maiar, is Morgoth/Melkor's second in command. They would have to be on a lower level than Sauron at the very least. Gandalf would also have to be demi-Maiar status as he was nearly matched by a Balrog and he is definetly not on Sauron's level. Tolkein's stories often have discrepancies and I don't think 7balrogs was a consistent enough theme to be considered definetive. Its all very conflicting

  • @KillerMonkeyBob Then Balrogs must be some form of demi-Maiar seeing as Sauron, Maiar, is Melkor/Morogoth's 2nd in command. Gandalf would also have to be demi-Maiar since he was nearly matched by a Balrog and is certainly not on Sauron's level. Seeing as Tolkien had alot of discrepancies in last drafts of the story, I don't think I take the idea of only 7Balrogs seriously. I don't think Gandalf is Maiar since he's not even on Feanor's level. He talks about him when he gets Isengard's palantir

  • @hcdangerfield211 No they are corrupted maiar, which is why gandalf was matched by one. Sauron may have simply been the strongest of the maiar that Morgoth could corrupt leading him to become second in comand. This has been written many times by tolkien that they are all maiar in one shape or form. Tolkien also writ that there where to be no more than 3 balrog and at the very most 7. I think ill take his writings over outside opinion.

  • @KillerMonkeyBob Fair enough then.

  • @KillerMonkeyBob So you mean, if Gandalf were to become corrupted he'd become something like a balrog? :S

  • @KrossPoison1 Well no, Morgoth was responsible for their form but not entirely sure how. Sauron and sarumon are also maiar But their corruption left them in wizard/human form (Before sauron bound himself to the ring). So either Morgoth changed them to make their power greater or they simply changed their own form, im not sure. They are characterised as being humanoid in stature and shrouded in shadow, so maybe they changed over years of corruption. Don't go by the film appearance.

  • @KillerMonkeyBob The film appearance seems accurate enough, probably exadurated a bit for the sake of looking bad ass though. If I could be like that, I'd so let Morgoth seduce me. :)

  • what faction are the balrogs in? cheers

  • @TheiTouchGuys Orcs of the Misty Mountains

  • Thanks all for helping respond to questions, I haven't been able to be too attentive.

  • @Scribegamer LEGENDARY BATTLE CONGRAT ;)

  • @Scribegamer I was wondering in this mod, is the max amount of units of 20? In the lord of the rings books and movies, there armies are more massive than 20 units. If you do know, please tell me.

  • are these things in the game :

    Sauron

    Cave trolls

    Giant spiders

    ???????????/ thanks great vid

  • @TheiTouchGuys Sauron and Cave Trolls are both in the mod. You can see Sauron in a separate vid I posted a while ago ... no giant spiders though.

  • @Scribegamer at least not yet! :D They are believed to be in the 3.0 patch! Its going to be epic!

  • @Scribegamer I've seen a Third Age machinima with giant spiders 0.0

  • @Scribegamer

There MIGHT be Spiderlings in the 3.0 Patch as well as all the New Custom made Buildings.

I've seen the Animations for them on the TWC Third Age Page.. They are like Riderless Cavalry with their own attack Animations.. They look nice but I think it's still in experimental stages, but word is they are quite sweet and don't cause any problems.

  • @Scribegamer Are there fellbeast in it?

  • @TheiTouchGuys

theres a submod for the mod that adds creatures such as big spiders
