  • the car looks nice

  • it's like you broke up with your girl friend for her twin sister who runs faster.

  • I RATHER KEEP THE SUITE FOR THE CAR LOOKS NICER LOL!

  • thats the style there goibg for LOL

  • One thing good about Porsche is that they have character. Look at the horse, after being beaten in F1 by Renault, which is famous in making economy cars; They change the F430 headlight with a christmas light in F458. Still the car can't run faster than current GT2 RS.

  • Well, they don't need to change the model, because current 911 can lap any track faster than ferrari F430 OP. So it's the stupid horse that needs to change, not the Porsche.

By the way, OP stands for Over Price.

  • Longer and wider to meet dumb safety regualations....might as well just go out and say its gonna be fatter.

  • Clarkson is going to have a field day mocking the styling the designer etc etc just like he did when the last one came out

  • I hope I'm not the only one who feced when they saw that thing Scotch-taped on there, although I don't know why they would bother hiding the rear if they're not going to do anything to the headlights. As for the stick-on intakes, that's no worse than the solid plastic intakes on some last-gen Mustangs. Tee hee.

  • oh my god porsche i actually liked the looks of the 997 this is just ugly as funk whats with the slats in the back end and the pretend air intake this will take forever to get used to you crazy fools you... audi R8 it will have to be then

  • is this actually the next generation 911 or just a facelift?

  • is that a beastly turbo i hear torwards the end!?! :)

...haha the rims are packing alot of snow. probably not the best winter car out there:p

  • That car is so epic. Can't wait for it to come out!

  • I love the air intake stickers to fool us in thinking this is a turbo/GT2 variant

  • when porsche was first started, they didnt allow niggers to purchase them until 1985.

  • Porsche makes evolutionary changes, not revolutionary changes. If you dont like that, then I will spray my hot DIARRHEA directly on top of your head. :-)

  • "Porsche sources have told Autocar that almost every panel on the 998 edition will be new."

If you're gonna make new panels why not make them look different? All 911s look exactly the same.

  • And that's what they also said when they launched the 997, and I found out that they really have made new panels, differences can be measured by millimeters in the Porsche, seriously : )

  • omg. just another old 911 design. i'd like to meet any ordinary person who can tell different 911's apart just by looking. Porsche need a new designer :-/

  • @OTKSenior

They sell hundreds of thousands of them. The light ones are just about as fast as anything. The shape is iconic.

They would be crazy to change it.

  • @OTKSenior

I can tell the difference just by looking...

  • @SuperleggeraVW

you must be a huge porsche fan. i know car journalists who struggle to differentiate 911 models

  • is that rear end the real thing or do you reckon they've modified it, not to give things away too soon, they do that some times with pre production cars

  • Does this model have the gas tank under the seat?

Having the tank in the front is really safe.

Where's the 500 hp electric Porsche that was rumoured?

  • i dont like the new headlight

  • @shengqiming

you can´t see the headlight thye put black tapes over it

  • @DeutscherPatriot91GE i knew that, but its really has some differents between the 997

  • why is there so much snow

  • Can you say sexy?

  • @ 0:39 I don't like the idea of sharing cheap parts.

  • @PorscheLieber

The parts aren't cheaper, their just sharing between models so they don't have to make 2 different parts to reduce cost. Is it good or bad idk but their not cheap parts.

  • Well that sounds better, thanks : )

  • In Porsche's defense, I feel that they've found a formula that has carried them over the past forty years. They have done nothing but improve upon that basic design. There a saying that goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

Also, I feel that Porsche does make one of the better looking sports cars out there. I'd dare say that I would take a 997 turbo over an F430 just on looks alone. I can tell the differences in design between different models and I find it exciting how...

  • @Quinn5 Porsche is keeping it's competitors on their toes with a basic concept that's been constantly refined for over 40 years. I'm not sure if there's another car maker who can make the same claim... Especially with having the engine in the "wrong place!"

  • Nothing new? Do you not see the arse end?

  • That's just a cover for the rear wing, so nobody sees it. They've been using those for years.

  • they somehow keep getting better and better.

imagine how they 911's will be like 20 years from now.

    really amazing.

  • @an50331 have a look at an old whale tale 911 turbo, or RUF ctr or Ruf yellowbird. They have way more character

  • sure they might have more character

but im talking about technological advancement

  • what is the name of opening song

  • whats up with tha bacc

  • looks like it's gonna be a significant change and improvement! excited!

btw all the ppl that are saying "not feelin the back of it" or "look the fking same" you obviously have no clue about what test mules are. they are testing the internals of the new vehicle in an old frame until they finalize the details then they'll start testing with the actual vehicle which should be soon. as for the rear, it will NOT look like that. it's not even the correct body style and it's heavily camo'd!

  • Look the fking same. Do something new for one porsche.

  • While they may be covering the front lights a little, I think I like the new look. Since it is wider, and the lights are smaller, it kind of reminded me of the F430 (obviously taking into account F430 lights are not round...). I am really curious to see what they will do with the rear spoiler. I would love to see a modern take on the whale tail spoiler. Hopes not high on that one though haha.

  • Those are some good tires.

  • what the heck is up with that rear clip? yuck

  • @StalePhish

Its a test car, its camo, so people like us don't know what the car will look like until it comes out...

All "spyed" videos have cars with wierd things on them.

  • @SuperleggeraWV: I've seen camo paint and cloth-like coverings but I had just never seen a large fake rear end like that before

  • not feelin the back of it :/

  • @Remzrolla8 You idiot!

  • Nice but looking at the video your going to spend most of your time in the petrol station

  • the ass on that thing looks fugly

  • Can't wait to see it!

  • sounds excellent

  • nice job if you can get it

  • "almost every panel will be new" Yeah, okay...

I don't even know why Porsche bothers with the camo. It's another 911, without the camo nobody would notice that is was new. In fact, I'd bet not having camo would be the most effective camo a 911 mule could have.

    (2010 & 2012 911 parked side by side)

Dude1: Hello sir, can you tell the difference between these two cars?

Dude2: Umm... is it the color?

  • @lived666

Its easy to tell the difference between generations... And the type of people who sky these cars will be the type of people who can defenetly tell.

    If you can't see a the difference between a 993, 996 and 997 generation 911 you a complete idiot.

  • I guess they're gave hints of the new 911 design language with the 918 concept.....i can see some resemblences......longer and slightly flatter as EJ25RUN said

  • i dont know why they even try to hide it. i think even with cover it looks more exciting than it will without. i like porsche but they seriously should try change things up. it just reached a point where it doesnt look like a proper sportcar. just compare it to any modern cars it doesnt need to be a real sport. take the VW Scirocco for example.

  • i'm pre-ordering ! as soon as i win the lotto.

  • 1:26 The angle of the windshield is way different. The typical upright windshield is no longer there.

About styling, if they changed it a lot too many people would probably be pissed off. Remember, most people who complain are people who can't afford it anyways. They probably find out what people want from their customer base or potential customer base, not what some guy on youtube thinks.

The Panamera is actually selling well, and no one likes it, other then those who can afford it I guess...

  • Good thing they put the disguise on the car or no one would have noticed it was a new one.. boring.

  • Good thing they put the disguise on the car or no one would have noticed it was a new one.. boring.

  • i don't get why everybody says every 911 looks the same... you'd have to be blind to not be able to tell a 998 from a 997 from a 996 from a 993... the shape is similar, but they all look very different.

this one looks like the prettiest 911 since the 993...

  • the shape and size of the car reminds me of RX7

  • With all honesty, Porsche should be making this out of carbon fibre. I mean, the 911 is a solid design, and saving hundreds of pounds with the use of carbon fibre makes it all the better. And yeah, thats a shitty looking grill on the back. That definitely needs improvement, though, if it keeps the engine cool its good for racing.

  • I agree but, that would seriously hike up the price. A 911 with an all cf body would probably start around 3 or 400,000 US.

  • yeah, i don't even know why i'm watching this vid as I know I will not ever able to afford one of these beautiful road machines, I can only dream...or rob

  • rear gets even higher making for a sleeker side window profile, smaller headlights(maybe). car made to look lower

  • diesel???? lol

  • these guys need to change this car a bit like the 996... it had brilliant front lights..

  • looks like it was designed for MadMax 3

  • dont know if it was the sound quality but it didnt sound too healthy. still think they could have done something more radical with the front

  • I like the way the shape flicks up at the back after the rear window (what the hell is the term for that spot it's on the tip of my toungue!) anyway, looks good.

  • Looks like a Jap car:(

  • Looks flatter and longer than a 911 typically is.

  • How surprising, it looks exactly the same as the current 911 lol...

  • @anotherone10 yes.. porsche do the same looking 911 for 40 years i think, its like a rule for then

  • exactly the thing that kept the 911 sexy for 50 years

  • you realise difference only when you own both of them.

  • its all coverd up, u dont know that............did you know that the spied benz SLS looked like a dodge viper

  • Yeah I know, I wish they'd do something interesting with the design. It's been the same for every generation.

  • the rear lights look like u ripped them off a camaro 67 =3

  • @cty85 u can see the rear lights?? lol

  • i hope those rear "vents" arent gonna make it to prduction...cheessssy.

  • i think it wil be lightning fast i mean 2.9-3.3 secs to 60 miles or 100KPH anyway its gonna be EPIC

  • Every Panel is new? Looks like the old one with a covered up GT2 wing on the back

  • its usually in HD, so being bad quality now means its not proccessed. later it will b in stunning HD.

  • hmm...i wonder what its gonna look like...oh wait, probably like every other 911 ever...haha

  • yeah the styling never changes. they say its the tradition, but some think its because they cant change the styling because they have no ideas on designing a new car.

  • Comment removed

  • true, the 918 spyder looks different than all the others in my opinion, but the rest of them like the panamera, cayenne, cayman, boxter, etc. all look similar to me.

  • well yea they are similar, but no more than the mercedes c, e and s classes or bmw 3, 5, 7 series'...or all aston martins...thats just a general similarity between all cars of the same brand.....but 911s have looked practically identical over the generations

  • @baldolera nah i was just joking, 911s don't change much, but they look great...its def more tradition than a lack of ideas, anybody can redesign a car..hyundai can redesign a car..and porsche has the cayman, chayenne, panamera, the new 918 spyder...that 911 bloodline separates porsche from other manufacterers and if they do a total overhaul now after so many years it will def ruin a great thing. i love porsche, if i had the money i would get a 911 turbo over just about anything comparable to it

  • @baldolera Carrera gt and 918 spyder will make that thought go away, porsche knows how to do real supercars good lookin'. But for sedans and suvs, nah... And btw, i look forward to see the specs, after the turbo s my expectations are hight!

  • yeah, thats true.

  • roflmao, the backside looks horrible, rest is ok i guess

  • because it's covered by metallic sheets...they don't want to reveal it.

  • not processed?

  • @qaz393 yes
