I keep coming back to this one from Nana Mouskouri because it is different. Yes, she is a soprano, but here Nana demonstrates that she can sing using the NON-Classical soprano flatter sound, where the belting is more imporant than the full soprano sound. This is something not easy for a classically trained soprano. An Excellent performance from Nana! Fan from the USA
I answer to you because I think that you spin the very good question, Nana Mouskouri voice. She had a too "pure" voice, that could'nt totally fits with the variety style. And variety songs do not ask for such great voices, but rather for voices than can lead the listener to feel things. Her voice was too perfect and pure to sing variety - even if I like to listen to her in any song...
